I needed a new planner so I went to Ebay, and found my favorite planner, Clever Fox for half price, This was a very tough month, My freezer broke several months ago, and things do not get replaced quickly in my house because I live on $1349 a month and I am 73 years old, There was no buying a big freezer, so I choose to look at freezers for large trucks, in doing this I was led to Costway that makes small size appliances for campers, spending $340.00 was a huge part of my monthly budget low and be hold this 60 pound box arrived on my door step today, So since I live alone and I can't drive anymore due to glaucoma, I dragged that box in set it up, and moved a non working freezer to the garage, I felt like super women, a neighbor drove me to the store and now I'm back in business. I love your frugal Emmy

Frugal folks pay your bills on time: We all have regular bills, I have a list with deadlines 2 days before their due date. All bills get paid ahead, no overdue bills. And it works as a monthly tracker of how much got paid for those standing bills.

Keeping up with the 'Jones's in regards to planners would be an Erin Condren planner. Yikes, those are expensive and not nearly as customizable as a Happy Planner. I love mine and I love your videos too!

I actually got an old Erin Condren planner on sale. I just re-dated the planner starting from January of this 2021. That way I have a new planner ready for me. I think I got it for 20.00 from the website. That's what I normally spend on a planner yearly.
$34 with shipping is actually cheap for a planner.... most of them are a lot more.
I'm just thrilled I found them for $14.99. I couldn't imagine spending over $34 Yikes lol!

Planner peeps: make an online perpetual calendar so you can easily add all your important days each year when you start your new planner. Bonus points to take expiring year's calendar and add new important dates to your list. I added address and phone fields so my online version also works as phone/address book.

Hello, My favorite color is Sky Blue! I know I am perhaps late in signing up for a Happy Planner, But here is my story. I have never been organized, my whole life. I struggle with it. I write things down, put it in my wallet. After seeing this video, I now realize I need to Plan things!!! I think I kinda do, but never write it down. I have never really done a week of meal planning, so in this planner, I want to plan meals, and prep for my Breakfast in the am, and all my lunches for a week. That will help me BIG TIME!! Meals and planning are a killer. I need to do it! I have been good at making a list, but need to plan and Organize! A planner will really help get this, September a fresh start! Thank You

I bought 3 plastic bins, 12w x16L x 4h, from $Tree to put in my frig to corral all those small items. It has helped me so much with "lost food".

Blue: My favorite planner is a dot grid bullet journal. It was $6.99 at HalfPrice Books. I have to set it up, so I do a future log - overview of the year, and a slot for the following year, monthly, and weekly. Then I have collections for projects. I am particular about size and shape so it can go in my purse. List making has always been useful for me, but this has proven to work the best. I don’t do the pretty layouts and focus on functionality. I could use stickers or washi tape, but I don’t want bumps, so it remains plain. But one size does not fit all, so it is important to adjust as you see what works and what does not.

Blue. I couldn’t get control of my money or feel like my life was “ordered” until I started keeping track of things. It reduced anxiety, if I write it down, it’s accounted for and “kept”. Recounting the history of what happened, so easy and less stressful.
I buy my planner from target every year around now. I write everything in it. Calls I make to rep are shops, things to do for the week, groceries, meal plans. I also keep my money tracked in a plain notebook. I write down everything I pay and all financial budgeting in it. Simple but works for me.
About a year ago I found The Fly Lady system to keep house. The great thing is it’s easy to modify to your own situation. It’s changed my life.

I got a big white binder from yard sale, I was able to print planner cover & insert in plastic on front of binder, picked up binder dividers/tabs for sections then printed matching pages for inventories, calendars, notes, etc

I guess like you, I am organized but I have different lists in different binders/notebooks in different areas. I like the idea of an all in one. And I like your idea of menu planning on the evening section of each day...there again, the all in one. I enjoy your videos (still). You are right.by being organized,you dont buy multiples of things,you see what you already have,use up what you have,know where things are. I gotta declutter hella books.Im a huge reader,so i have thousands of books.

Purple is my favorite color! Your video reminds me that I need a happy planner to be more structured and organized. Otherwise, my grocery lists and recipes get lost. I end up having to spend more time running to the stores again or time tracking down recipes lost. I tried bullet journal, but that didn’t work. This journal is more structured and keep me on task. 2 one time buy discs and punch
3 anything can be made into happy planner, use up random extra paper with a cover makes a notebook, too
4 use pencil to fill in undated planner, erase and reuse
5 buy add ins during annual sales
6 exercise restraint and at low cost you can have a pretty planner
7 Tuesday morning has had HP big planner undated kits for 19.99 for the last 2 years.

I do planning but on my Google calendar. It’s free, I have it on my phone, computers. I can set up reminders to ping me about stuff. It definitely helps me to stay organized. I also have the Paprika recipe app which allows me to store recipes and I can do a pantry inventory on it and it even has meal/menu planning areas and a grocery list area. I love it and use it all the time.

Love happy planner. I like to buy them on clearance and just pick up an undated filler on sale. tuesday morning is a great place to get the big ones and stickers. Sometimes they get the classic, but not always.

Purple. Thanks! I have several planners: one-off school (monthly sheets I print off), a weekly one with time slots, and a daily one that I use as a to-do list. I like to list contract renewal date son the monthly sheet of the daily one and also note it as a to-do a few days before on the daily sheet. I've been doing that all of this year and I haven't missed cancelling anything. 🤩
