I played for coach Bartley for three years. He also coached me in tot hockey in the 70’s. We used to chase him (imagine 20-30 little kids chasing around an adult) as he held the puck before practice. If you got the puck from him you better keep it. He played with the Hanson (Carlson) brothers/cousins and we never knew it. He is a humble man who lets his actions speak. He wasn’t a “motivator” type coach. He expected his players to bring that. He knew the game and could make pregame plans and during game adjustments with the best
He is my uncle's brother! :D
Hey Ken. Love the hockey card stories coming. Thanks.
Imagine having a hockey card and not knowing
Imagine having three hockey cards, and only one that is actually you 😂
@@Actionronnie just about to comment both 😂
Ken, I am absolutely loving this series. Great job. I have both of your Hockey Card Stories books also. Keep up the awesome work!
Awesome & Thanks for all...
Ken Reid is hilarious. Love it.
Made my day seeing this...great stuff.
Awesome story
My High school Coach! Great coach, great man! Well done Coach Bartley! Enjoy the accolades! So very well earned!
Much respect im a big vintage hockey guy thank you
I read both books and hope he puts a 3rd one out. I like how he covers some obscure players. For Harold Snepts entry he could have added that the Canadian band the Dik Van Dykes wrote a song about him "Ugly as Harold Snepts"
Great story.
I met Willie Trognitz on a European cruise a few years back.. he is an awesome guy and his wife lovely.. nice couple and he shared some stories
For sure I have that Jets Maxwell card !
using your powers for good. awesome
Mike Bartley is a class act. Has coached in Cleveland, OH, for years. Generations of Northeast Ohio hockey players, including myself, fell in love with the game because of him.
My uncle is his brother ;D
OMG DUDE
My cousin Mike
All I see are a hat and glasses that take up the whole screen... The dangle podcast has ruined me.
"Real life Ken is not real and cant hurt you" I have to tell myself every night before bed,
