You could also use localhost to put the temperature at 10 and your plane ends up passing through your bullets

it remind me of Grumman F-11 Tiger incident, it literally shot itself down with its own bullet due to bullet trajectory after firing burst and the plane entering shallow dive and the bullet miracilously hit the plane engine

The thing is, war thunder accounts for the speed of the vehicle firing and adds that speed and direction to the velocity and direction of travel of the bullet, just like in real life (somewhat) so unless you just drop it, you cant hit yourself unless you start accelerating stupid fast after shooting it while going slow and so you hit it from behind.
And what killed you was not the bullets themselves but their explossion, just like when you drop a too big bomb at low speed and it explodes with a too short fuse near your plane.
I would have to disagree. While War Thunder does account for the plane's velocity, the velocity is lost very fast. In this video, I used a mach 2.5 plane firing bullets going 50 m/s. The slowing of the bullets made catch up with it. And yes, I am aware that the explosion is what killed the plane. I just left that in there for a plan B for the video
IRL wouldn't the rounds fired NEVER be slower than the plane that just fired them? Because the rounds are going as fast as the plane before they are shot, and then when firing are ACCELERATED.
The rounds are going to be accelerated, so at some point, they are going faster than the plane. However, if the plane accelerates faster than the bullets, and has a higher top speed than the bullets, then the plane would then hit the bullet. An example would be the grumman F-11 tiger, which shot itself down. It did this by firing a long burst while diving, and the bullets hit the engine, which caused it to crash (smth I read online, unsure abt credibility).
it's not because he flied faster than the bullet he fired, he fired a bullet then got hit later because the plane and the bullet crossed paths@@ThunderBS_Official
disagree, they will accelerate in front of the aircraft, but the drag at a high enough speed will force them back towards the aircraft that has no change in velocity due to the fact that the aircraft is being propelled and isn't a projectile.
as seen in the video, the bullets initially travel faster than the aircraft but then decelerate and the aircraft flies past the bullets.
same reason why bombs will never land in front of the aircraft on the x-axis.
@@Bongoid In that case, the round will hit the aircraft at near zero velocity. However, what you're describing is simply not possible. No aircraft is capable of going that fast.

what im saying is just basic physics based on assumptions lol. Ofc we do not have a plane that can go that fast with a caliber that large, we also do not have a plane that can fire that many shells that size and stay in one piece, nor do we have planes that can fire that many rounds and still be able to take off with all that weight.....
