Son of labourers from UP’s Bulandshahr, Pawan Kumar cracks UPSC CSE, secures AIR 239 rank

- Pawan Kumar, the son of a labourer cleared the UPSC 2023 exam to secure AIR 239. Speaking about his journey, the youngster, Pawan Kumar thanked his parents and also spoke about the hardships he had to endure.Pawan Kumar said, "This was my third attempt. My family had a very big role to play in my journey, especially my parents and my sisters... The exam is tough and the syllabus is very vast, but it is not impossible to crack it. Taking coaching is not necessary. The condition of my family was such that I could not afford such expensive coaching classes. I mostly did self-study... You can make use of the internet for help, and carry on with honesty in your attempts... Perseverance is very important."Pawan Kumar's sister Goldie said, "We lived in a peaceful environment and he liked silence. He lived and studied under this roof, and when there was no electricity, he would study in the light of the kerosene lamp. We did all sorts of odd jobs for money... He needed a mobile phone, so we all worked hard to afford a phone for him so he could study."Pawan Kumar's mother Suman Devi said, "I feel good that we got to see this day. We have a thatch roof that leaked when it rained. It caused us a lot of trouble. We don't have money to be able to afford a gas cylinder, that's why we still use a stove. I worked hard as a laborer... He would study at home in silence, using his mobile phone."

If we will see any developed countries their main attention will get, a person who did hard work and created huge business empire.
That is the only reason we are still struggling to develop or compete with other Countries.

Atleast someone thinking like me we are a country where we abuse wealth creator's for no reason only because of jealousy but give importance to these emotional stories people which are mostly going to work for corrupt politicians not for people like in jharkhand and do corruption for themselves they only work hard to change their life not people's most youth influenced by these stories for no reason anyone not interested in what he is going to do for our country and society unnecessarily making them their ideals I mean we had great people like dr. Apj abdul kalam who gave their whole life for country not interested in only improving his life but today youth most inspired by lbsnaa shorts then making our country great and this extra importance to these toppers is the reason why still more people interested in government jobs then startups and entrepreneurship because people want to become that what society or country gave importance in U.S. they respect bussiness men's that's why there youth interested in innovation and startups but in our country people don't give respect to startups and youth crying for government job this socialist idea impacted our country very badly still few people trying to popularise it but we have to understand this will not good for country we should have some socialist schemes for poor but we have to follow little capitalist approach so our poor population can come out from poverty and country can also grow because of capitalism otherwise we will always be poor and backward country.

First of all, these UPSC toppers are worth of all attention that they get. There is nothing bad in this. Sardar Vallabh Patel sir himself stated these civil servants as the steel frame of India. And considering the other opportunities in this country, go and search about how many start ups have failed in recent times. Go and search about the layoffs these new born start ups have done in recent times. Go and search about the funding winter that these start ups are facing.
At last it's very easy to sit at home and comment about the ongoing career trend and education system. But it is equally difficult and praiseworthy to survive and conquer a respected position in a country like India, where the population is highest in the world and the opportunities are limited.
In this ongoing recession period, everyone in India respects the class A government job. And that's the truth. Like it or don't like it.
