Following on from taking Lurasidone for 4 weeks, I now start Elvanse 20mg, moving to 30mg then onto 40mg. (Lisdexamfetamine)
Here are daily updates of how i found it and was feeling day to day.
I stated a week and a half ago. I start at 20 and now I’m at 50. The best thing ever for my adhd.

Ive actually switched to Concerta now, works just as well
I've been on 50mg of elvanse for a year now. Started on 30mg and moved up to 50mg. I don't get that 'buzz'. My brain is just quiet and I'm able to focus and complete tasks. I get 'stuff done'. It totally helps with productivity. I hate the fact that I'm 'medicated' and would love a holistic alternative but the stuff bloody works.....My ADHD is quite severe so I have to top it up with dexamfetamine after a few hours as I refuse to go up to 70mg. I wish you well. I wish I could take a lower dose but it wouldn't do a jot for me. Wishing you luck on your journey. 😊
Your super lucky, Ive been on Vyvanse and the first day I took it I got anxiety panic attacks on and off, loss of appetite, a rush of crazy energy and I still couldn't really focus.
Mate this video is just what I needed! I have been prescribed 30mg and I took one and I felt that come up you where talking about. I have looked everywhere to see if that was normal because that first dose was so intense but nobody mentions it. Seeing your videos has shown me how it sort of stabilizes after a few days and just leads to the productive part. Motivation is hard to come by and I hope this is the solution! Good job on the video bro and you have made me more confident in this decision!
Yeah the come up on the first day was crazy. It was the only time i ever experienced it though. Im glad this video has helped you and hope the medication all goes well for you👍🏼

I was only diagnosed on 20th November 2022 so I’ve been watching loads of reaction vids but this is the best CZcams vid I’ve seen regarding reaction to taking stims as I am kind of nervous for when I start my meds in a couple of months so nothing scary to see yet lol but I hope my experience will be as calm as yours 😊
Hope it all goes well for you, appreciate the feedback on the video. I did notice when people make videos on Elvanse they talk about their experience, i thought seeing day to day updates would give people a good insight into how it feels.
First time I took it (30mg) I felt a bit weird so I asked to come off it after four days. Move forward a year and Concerta XL wasn't helping with the procrastination. I started taking the 30mg Elvanse again and after an hour I was up and tidying my flat after it being a tip since I can remember. Moved up to 40mg. Much more clearheaded. I now need a project to really test it out on. We'll see.
I just started with 10mg yesterday. Not sure if I should take it today. When it wore off last night, I became so hungry 🤣🤣I devoured this chicken. I was also was very very tired. I had a few light stomach pain
Thanks for this video. I've recently started om 30MG for my ADD (ADHD-PI) and had horrible headaches for 1,5 week. It's getting better now, but the focus slips more easily, the brain fog is returning quite early in the day and the anxiety is returning already. I feel like sleep has a lot to do with it, but I'm contemplating increasing or decreasing the dose and try that instead of moving to Concerta. It's a hard process but the positives are sooo good.
The agitation is relatable. I don't know where it comes from, but it shows up when I'm working at a task and need input that I can't seem to get or when it wears off.
Hi, I had mild headaches for the first few days starting on the 20mg but then they stopped. Sounds like maybe yours is wearing off fairly soon. Yeah maybe try a higher and lower does and document how you feel on each dose?
The agitation is comes at similar times for me too.
@@mcmxc90 Hey I'm a bit further along now and it's been a bit of a struggle but I'm happy to have persevered. I'm now on 30MG in the morning and 20MG at noon (tried 30 twice for a week as per my Dr's request) and it seems to help so so much. The first time I took the second pill all my side effects just went away. It rocks! Now very happy with the medication.
Next struggle is the return of my 'base-level anxiety/stress'. But I don't feel like I should up my dosage. Luckily just started therapy as well.
For me, since the pain went away, it's been amazing to experience stuff. I went downtown during an event and was not overstimulated and could just do what I was supposed to do. All the while not becoming apathetic.
So for people like me; please give it at least 3 weeks or ask for a second dose (or any kind of booster).
@@Dwarrelpoot Thats awesome! Glad you have found the dosage that works for you. I was the same it took me a good few weeks of tweaking the dosage to get it right, but now I'm on 30mg once in the morning.
I have been looking into the coaching thats is recommended, hope the therapy goes well for you!
is alcohol consumption a no no on this medication
I think its ok to drink alcohol to be honest
I take now 50 mg elvanse tomorow i will shwitch to 70mg
