As much as I like Anos, I feel the creator of his series just made him Op for Op sake.
Rimuru's story and power progression feels more Earned, IMO that is.
there's more explanation as to why and how Anos obtained his overwhelming power, it's just 13 eps weren't enough time to explain without making the arcs less entertaining
Well, it is obvious that Anos and OP, he is possibly the reincarnation of the most powerful demon king that ever existed, and the demon that possibly created the entire cosmology of maou gakuin. And if Anos wasn't OP he wouldn't even have left layer 0 of the sea of silver and the entire novel would take place in exactly the same place. Besides Rimuru is also OP, in fact Rimuru's unique abilities are extremely OP, Anos wins because while Rimuru mainly has the power of creation, Anos has the power of destruction, apart from that most of the abilities of both are the same.
I don't see how Rimuru earned his abilities. It's all BS plot since most of his abilities are straight given to him. In no universe or any other anime can you instantly get an ability that breaks the bounds of human capability without losing your sanity or lives.
He sacrificed a lot of souls but then instantly revived all of them. That's bad story writing. He gained all/most of his power without losing anything in return, which not even Dragon Ball Super did. (And Dragon Ball has some stupid fucking powerup development, especially for Vegeta. For thousands/millions of years, Saiyans couldn't get Super Saiyan but in a span of less than 100 years, they attained SSJB and Ultra Instinct)
@@LeniusRiven I totally agree with you, Rimuru simply unlocks 300 skills in a single evolution, and every skill Rimuru has comes from nothing, he can copy any magic from the six verse, and all his powers just come from nothing, he literally doesn't lose anything with his evolutions and powers he gains, the only one when he lost something to become demon lord he resurrected them.
Anos doesn't just analyze and copy every ability he sees, even if he can do that, literally almost every magic he has was done by himself, not to mention that in his past life Anos lived in a place where it was killing or die, Anos himself says in the novel that even the spells that were considered high level 2000 later, you had to at least possess more than one of them to survive the wars of 2000 years ago.
Even Anos in his past life suffered more than Rimuru, Anos in his past life had his mother dead before he was even born, he had to get out of his own mother's corpse, not to mention that Graham killed Anos' father and still used his body to fight Anos himself, Anos felt very sad because he felt as if he had killed his own father.

Please, it's easier not to take into account all the cosmology of the sea of silver, I mean, that cosmology makes Anos one of the most stolen 2-A's out there.
Thanks to the fact that one tier has at least concepts and laws at least immeasurably higher to the previous tier, where even a character who destroys tier 0 universes wouldn't even destroy a layer 1 ship at all, Anos has deepened his spells into deep layers of the sea of silver, thanks to that even one of Anos' world-destroying spells are immeasurably stronger than when Anos was at layer 0, I bet even if Anos delved into his Greega he would destroy all layer 0.
He still has his eyes of Chaotic Destruction' that are strong enough to make the entire Abyss of Silver tremble, which is possibly higher to the entire Sea of Silver, and it is unbelievable that it was only the presence of the Eyes of Chaotic Destruction that made the Abyss of Silver tremble, nor it was really the power of the eyes, just their presence.
Agree 100% that Rimuru would have some chance against Anos while he was at layer 0 (even though Anos still wins), but when we talk about Anos with his spells delved into deeper tiers, Rimuru would have a terrible defeat.
Even his magic before being deepened if it got out of control would destroy hundreds of thousands of universes, and now that he'd deepened his spells he could possibly destroy more than just a layer with a single spell.
If Anos deepens his magic to a higher layer the spell will be immeasurably stronger, if Arnos deepens his spell to deeper layers and even worse.
Layer 0 beings that destroy universes don't even destroy a ship in a higher tier, it's Layer 1 beings that destroy universes wouldn't destroy even a ship in a Layer 2, if Anos deepens his spells in the deeper layers his spells will be in a extremely high level.

I think you are missing when comparing output in term of dimension power of both. Anos kill Silver sea 99d+, but can he pull out 99d+ amount of power ? (I am not well verse in demon king verse, and in my understanding not a lot character can pull more than one dimension power )

Now if you consider that the upper layers are simply layers with universes that have immeasurably higher concepts and laws, this would make Anos 99x immeasurably above the baseline.
