Thank you for the video 👍
Do you learn only pororican spanish?
I remember once I said, "¡Estoy estática!" And the person I was talking to very politely told me "estoy entusiasmada" or "estoy emocionada" sounds better because what I said has a sensual meaning... 😶😶😆😆😆
Mmm I think you didn't use estática but exitada, that has a sensual meaning.
Beautiful hermano!! Interesting, as I watch it again after 3yrs ..still fresh & useful. Amor de la India
Gracias por ayudarme
great topic. thanks
Buen video gracias💜
Good video! I do get some of these trickier one mixed-up sometimes.
Thanks for watching my friend! Yes these are definitely tricky. Especially ones like "delito" lol.
Great video
Este podcast era muy interesante 👍
Great video!
I love your video's. I moved to Puerto Rico with limited spanish and yes! It was diffuclt to understand and speak Puerto Rican spanish. I love the Puerto Rican language and your video's are helping me. I'm returning to Puerto Rico in a few months and trying to absorb all the help I can. I would love it if you were able to keep the words or phrases on the screen until the next word or phrase. I try to write and practice with you. When I press pause, the words are then covered by other CZcams options.
Thank you so much for all you are offering and as I'm able I plan to send some financial gratitude!
Muy buen vídeo. También gracioso. Me reí un par de veces.
carpeta too i use to think that meant carpet but i was told it meant binder😭
😭😭😭jaja yes carpeta is like folder or binder. Alfombra is carpet 😭
Oh sí. Leí una vez que una chica le preguntó al dueño de la casa, "¿Quiere que yo vacune la carpeta?" en vez de "Quiere que yo aspire la alfombra?"
Great explanation. You should definitely host a "talkathon" of some sort here in DC. We'll all come out. Getting the program today!
Haha that would be awesome! Thanks so much look forward to seeing you in the training my friend!
You give such good lessons can you speak about not common words pls and thank you if you can’t I would understand if your busy with your Channel
Thanks so much for watching. What do you mean the not common words? I'll be happy to help in anyway I can.
I was so sure "sonrisa" meant "sun rise." My PR husband thought that was so funny. 🤣
I always get but “but” and “dog” confused 🤣 pero and perro 🤣
Thanks for your awesome explanations! I’m learning so much from you. Quick question, after learning Spanish for 80 days now, I’ve not come across the “ü” I’m any words yet. Is this only used in certain Spanish dialects or are there more words with Ü? I’ve just never come across any word with that letter. Only ever seen either an accent or a tilde over a letter.
It’s not very common. But pingüino (penguin) is the most common.
Usually the dieresis is used for foreign sounds, not typical in spanish. Often aboriginal/native words or germanic words uses that sound. In german dieresis is called an 'umlaut'.
@@quiglymark good example
These are called “false friends”. Meaning: a word or expression that has a similar form to one in a person's native language, but a different meaning.
In french, the use 'faux amis'! Not sure if spanish uses 'Amigos falsos'?
I NEVER knew recorda. I have been told recuerda and I REALLY can't get my tounge around it so just went with no mi olvidar.
try this phonetic tip: Rek-where-da
1:07 i dont know why but i didnt expect to laugh so hard at that. Def wont be saying that any time soon 😂
Thanks my friend ...but may be you have also added ...Actualmente & Actually ...Parientes and Parents ...Soportar and To Support. Thanks anyway for this video ...keep it Up 🤙 ...salud de la India, Jimmy Bindra!
Thanks for the additions my friend! Gracias por ver!
@@SpeakSpanishFaster you are always welcome hermano ☺️
Has anyone here taken this gentleman’s lessons? I tend not to trust reviews on direct websites and they’re usually all paid for. I’m considering training with him to improve and would like some true unbiased feedback about his program.
2:19 close enough

It seems that it's because it's the etymology (meaning: study of words and/or their history) that gives different meanings.
The enviroment can invariably change the language to suit the speaker's needs. This is why you might see some words in Spanish but not in English, and so on, for all languages.
In Europe there's enough Latin that quite a few words overlap. Then you get german and that's a WHOLE DIFFERENT mess.
For realizar it’s easy to just think of in English when we say someone has realized his/her dreams.
at 6:56 it sounds like he said F***
So what about if you want to say something like"I'm looking at a map"??? And how would the person you talking to know that you are looking at a map and not a letter????
Map is mapa....
Chocar
Ok my Spanish teacher taught me that one way to say like I don't like something was "me choca"
Yes, that's correct, it's slang.
KLK Rocky
KLK mi pana!
Like words you wouldn’t use often
In English molest does mean bother just the same. At the zoo it's common to see the sign "Don't molest the animals" of course they are not talking about sexual molestation, just molesting. I'll give you that it's not as common in English to be used outside of sexual or animals though
Lol thanks for that Justin!
Yo can also say tengo pena
Florida people know about the signs that say "do not molest the alligators"
LMAO You Floridians are some STRANGE people! Them poor gators!
Can’t you also say frase for sentence?
Yes

6:10 - And that's not _'present'?_ 🤨
un regalo is the proper word for gift or a present.
@@inconnu4961 I know, I'm going with the theme of the video. 😄
We don't use.factoría
On the contrary I would tell you to make these mistakes without fear of "getting embarrased", who give a shit what the other person's gonna think, you are gonna learn from making the mistake
Often they appreciate the laugh! My favorite gringo 'mistake' phrase i use to make them laugh is ; Hasta la manzana! Never fails to get a chuckle!
Anybody else here from your Spanish teacher?
Lol I hope so
lol i thought he was going to say delito doesn't mean delete
"Dime" does not mean "dime",
It means "Tell me"
😂
Pero me gusta comer los pies 🦶
LOL
Tu psicopatia! LOL
Sorry explication is too complicated
