Derrick, when I was pregnant with our second child, I was worried about the same thing - that I wouldn't have enough "love," to ensure that BOTH of my kids felt loved! My mom informed me that I didn't need to worry, because my heart would grow bigger with each child I had. And she was so right. Your heart will grow big enough to contain the love for Jack AND the new baby! 💖 Congratulations ❤️🙏

I think it’s wonderful Jack is surrounded by girls. He will grow up respecting and treating women correctly as well as being a true gentlemen with a genuinely caring nature. I speak from experience with my son who is now 17. He is a good guy who genuinely cares about people and even though he loves to hang out with his guys, some of his closest friends are girls and always has been- he knows how to connect with females and I love the way he has turned out. Jack will make loads of guy friends throughout his life and he has 2 amazing male influences: his dad and his crazy uncle. God knows what He is doing… all will be amazing 🥰

Jack will be the little lion (just look at his gorgeous mane!) among all the lionesses. He will be a wonderful big brother and protector for everyone, even if he does eventually get a little brother or boy cousins. You never know, his little sista might run around him in circles and wear him out! I know my little girl, she's 2 years old, definitely has all the energy in the world! The salty/sweet craving thing was true for me, too. Even though I was DYING to have a baby girl, I craved artichoke hearts with my first son, and salsa with my twin sons! I'm really so happy that y'all are having a girl. You have plenty of time to give Jack a little brother! Good luck, Derik, with packing and moving again. I will miss Hawaii, but Utah is gorgeous. Hey you guys, I just wanted to let you know that I have two boys, they’re 15 months apart. I was obsessed 🤪with making sure that I was fair about how much time I spent with each child! But you know what, I think it just comes naturally. So I wouldn’t worry about that! SARAH, from my own experience and most of my friends experiences, we all agreed that the second baby is always so much more laid-back and easier! So let’s hope that this is true for you too!! My 2nd son and child was laid back & I wasn’t so anxious and nervous about everything! It was a totally different and great experience! I love both of my sons absolutely the same and equally wonderful children!

I've seen so many of my friends and family worry when they get pregnant with their second baby, wanting to make sure they give both children equal love. I'll tell you like I've told them... love is multiplied not divided and you'll feel it the second your sweet little girl is born. All the love and experiences you've had with Mr Jack you'll have with her and a lot of the same, like catching lizards and watching whoa's together then painting her little nails and doing her hair. My brother and I are 4 years apart and it was so much fun getting to do the things my brother shared with my dad and then the new experiences for my mom now having a girl. She even showed me a picture of the first time she painted my nails, my brother helped and was so gentle about it. You both have already been incredible with Jack, your little girl is so blessed to be entering a family filled with so much love and adventure ahead... YOU GOT THIS! 💜 100%!!!

Jack Knew ! My son was the same. He wanted a sister. We didn’t want to know the gender until birth. I told my son he could name his sister if it was a girl ! He was 3yrs old… it was a girl! He did name her. And he’s been the best big brother/protector ever since (fyi.. they’re not kids anymore) ! I wish the same for Jack and his sister 🤍🤍
