  • Different types of tanker ships are used in the maritime industry. Tanker ships play an essential part in running the global economy by meeting the needs of countries with their oil and gas demands.
Without the oil tanker, gas tanker or chemical tanker ships, the world economy is most likely to crumble, bringing most of the parts of the world to an immediate halt due to non-availability of fuel and gas.
All type of natural resources and oil or gas need to be transported with the utmost care in specialised tanker ships. For e.g., a ship carrying crude or product oil cannot carry natural gas and a ship carrying a gas cannot carry chemicals.
Tanker ships are so constructed to ensure they can protect the cargo, onboard crew and the marine environment.
Watch the complete video to understand different types of tanker ships which are used in the maritime industry.
