I have been a Duran Duran fan since 1982, I have seen them 17 times and met the band 4 times. They are such humble guys. I agree Simon's voice even in his 60s has stood the test of time!
Some singers lose their vocal range as years go by. Not Simon Le Bon. He´s getting better all the time. This was El Clasico performance. Outstanding and he obviously thrilled the audience as much as he thrilled me!
Is it just me or could this easily have been another Bond Theme? I mean, c'mon - "In a Broken Dream" even sounds like a plausible title for a Bond Film?
he never got credit for being an awesome singer....thing is ,in Duran Duran he never over did stuff, he sang his stuff and stayed in his place ( opposite to many others,who use bands to show off themselves)...that s why he went by unnoticed....but today, compared to other artosts from his generation, he stands totally out for his ability to still bein able singing extraordinary

When I first saw this I almost fainted from the beauty of it. At the same time, I kind of laughed out loud thinking of all the people who discounted Duran Duran as a "boy band" when I i been chilled to my bone marrow by Simon Le Bon since 1982.
Thirs man is a god!!! I was only 13 years old when I was blown away by his singing and his incredible melodies.Nowdays I'm 44 and I'm still blown away by his powerfull voice and his out of this world melodies.Thank you Simon, words cannot express my gratitude
You got that right!!! I did their promotional tour for the album Notorious and I played about 60 to 70 T.V shows with these great guys and it's thank God on youtube! And if you haven't heard and seen it yet check it out search Duran Duran Italy 86 fantastico t.v and the show in Germany where they gave me many close up camera shots great guys greatest band from the 80s!! Sheesh where did all those Decades go??? Simon is one of the greatest vocalists of our time. I can't believe he once called himself, "A God awful singer." To listen to him grow for 39 years has been a treasure. He can cover ANY song.
He was correct. Most of his live performances are cringe. And I don't say this to be mean because I love Duran Duran. He is just no a great live perfomer, usually.

I think with this performance, Simon really showed what a great artist he is and has always been, though in Italy he was only the Wild boy. That evening I saw him on the show, and I thought that even the musicians got emotional from his voice,. Thank you Simon for all that you are !!!
