Many of those vacancies are not actually ‘vacancies’. They are rolling adverts for casual and temporary staff, often on 0 hour contracts with no terms of engagement or termination.

This might be true, but I can also tell you for a fact that there are a huge amount of highly skilled, well paid jobs, that can’t be filled because of the appalling skill shortage in the U.K.. I work in the tech sector, a well paid sector however you measure it. At any one time there has been somewhere between 90,00 and 120,000 vacancies in the sector.
In software development (my discipline) it’s estimated that there are as many as 60,000 vacancies. If as a country we cannot produce enough people for an industry that typically pays anywhere between £40,00 and £100,000 or more. Then what hope is there for the country…

It's not because benefits is more generous than working jobs.
It's for many other reasons - like she says, lack of childcare, lack of skills, lack of housing in the right areas, waiting for medical treatment on an NHS waiting list ...
All these things impact people's ability to work and earn money. And if that means they end up on benefits, it's certainly not because they are lazy. It's because society has been progressively, deliberately and maliciously defunded for years.
Proof: there would be more childcare, if there had been more funding. There would be shorter NHS waiting lists if there had been more funding. There would be more local jobs if local infrastructure was better funded. It would be easier to move to an area where there were more jobs available if housing was more affordable.
