My 5yr Hobonichi cover. Will an Ateliers Phileas cover fit a 5yr journal? ~Travel Journals Part 4.

- Welcome to the Unboxing episode in part four of a short little series I've titled Travel Journals. In this episode I unbox my Ateliers Phileas cover and see if my big A5 5 year hobonichi fits. I also unbox my new Y.Studio Classic Revolve pen and see if it fits in the pen loop....I won't spoil the fun...and honestly when I filmed this I was uncertain if anything would go together!

Ooh, I agree that pen with no clip is risky for travel! I have used an A6 single year myself, and was thinking I might switch to a 5-year at some point. I'd probably use the right-hand page for art and sketches. I don't have time to do that every day, but with 365 pages that's 73 opportunities per year or 6 per month. Perfect for adding in a bit of visual creativity along with writing.
I'd like to draw something but words are my most favored form of expression, I'd like to better at illustration but I just don't practice. I like your idea of 6 per month, seems manageable.

IT FITS! Well done! That snug is going to give a bit more as the leather stretches I am sure. Looks and feels good doesn't it? Did you say the Y Studio pen has some dripping issue? I have the version with the string instead of the desk stand. Very brave using a brass pen without a clip in that loop LOL. Everything looks very very good. Congrats and thanks for sharing!
The Y Studio pen that has the desktop holder does drip because it is aways kept upright. I am hopeful for this new set up will.
An update after months of use?
I’ll do a one year update. Look for that in January. 🥶😀
