- Caesar Boulevardez (better known as Papi) is Felix Boulevardez's father, Sunset's father-in-law,and LaCienega's abuelo. Due to being close to the same age, he is also the target of Suga Mama's love interest, something he seems ambiguous about returning. Although he is in her constant company, his comments in Spanish indicates he finds her wearisome, and his actions shows a willingness to accept the attention of other older ladies.
Suga Mama: "Yeah! I'm a tween too!"

Funny enough, Joker is actually dating a Hispanic woman in the Harley Quinn series now. Give it a bit, he'll be speaking Spanish too

I find Papi's suit funny for two reasons.
1. he's dressed like Cesar Romero's Joker from the 60s Batman series,
2. The baggy pants ad big purple jacket makes him look like he's wearing a zoot suit, a style Chicanos wore during the forties (likely when he was a teenager)
It's a nice detail they put in.
Ah yes, it's an inside joke that Ceaser played Italian mobsters, smug vintage car aficionados and poetic cabana playboys in his acting career on-top of the joker colors.

@@jaredhamilton425 LaCienega gets something from all her family-she has her dad’s occasional naïveté, she heckles people like Papi. And of course, she gets her spoiled attitude from her mother. If you’ve seen the quinceñera episode and the gymnastic episode of Louder and Prouder, Sunset herself is quite a brat.
Papi is a master at roasting people and gets away with it when no one can understand him and I always expect him to laugh hysterically every time I saw him onscreen. Lol

Felix - look at his face when Papi first met Sugar Mama, he knew what his dad was saying and was super uncomfortable with it.
LaCienega - during the “kids swap families for a week” episode the Gross Sister’s stayed with LaCienega’s family and when they showed up to jack the kids’ money Nubia first asked in Spanish and LaCienega translated what she said with Nubia then confirming Papi taught them (I’m unsure if she’s ever heard him insult Sugar Mama but I know she understands him)
Sunset - she translated what he said in the camping episode, but since she isn’t on-screen nearly as much as her husband or daughter I don’t think she’s ever heard him roast Sugar Mama and I think because of her friendship with Trudy she would be mad 😂😂😂

I think the only reason he hasn’t been outed yet is because Felix either wants no part of it (or to be accused of lying if he did say it), LaCienega loves her Papi so I doubt she’d dime him in and again Sunset isn’t around as often as the other two to translate (again I really think she’d be irked if she actually heard him insulting her bestie’s mama-in-law)

The voice acting is good but sometimes the translations from english to spanish are not correct. For example 5:03, "It didn't work" should be "no funcionó"

Story-wise it makes sense: we know for a fact that Felix understands him cos look at his face when Papi first met Sugar Mama, dude knew what his dad was saying just didn’t wanna say anything cos ... yikes (and Sugar Mama May accuse him of lying because he’s Oscar’s pal to stir things). Then there’s Sunset and LaCienega, both of whom we *know* understand him (the former from the camping episode and the latter from the “student exchange” episode) but 99 times out of 100 neither are there when he insults Sugar Mama. LaCienega may not say anything cos she loves her papi, but I’m certain if Sunset heard him insulting Sugar Mama (who we know she is at least on friendly terms with via Trudy) she’d get mad.
