    I enjoyed your review. I also came into an RS3 from an STi, although mine is a heavily modded 2004 STi. I plan to sell it, but many of my car buddies are telling me I'm crazy and to sell the RS3 instead. But I like the RS3 for many of the same reasons you do- I can control the loudness, I can control the suspension stiffness, the build quality is excellent, etc.. (and my STi is pretty much built for the track, which I no longer do, so it's a lousy street car right now.)
    I don't have the staggered tires, so maybe I'll throw a rear roll bar on to see if that helps the understeer. Anyway, thanks for the review!

    • @automotivationz
      @automotivationz  Před 2 lety

      STi's are great, but early on the options were pretty sparse. 04 even could come without a radio. Yes, you can get an STi faster than an RS3, but for reliability, the RS3 has been pretty rock solid.
      Thanks for looking at the review! Glad you liked it. 👍

    Love your review. I have the 2018 stock version. I think the reason why the seats are manual and there is no spare tyre, although at first found kinda annoying, is to reduce weight. So if it ends up giving the car a one tenth lower 0-60 then I can live with these. Thinking stock right now especially with the extended warranty for piece of mind. Who knows I may still go for APR stage 1 plus anyway once under extended warranty. Taking it to the track is an issue as no insurance or if any no liability insurance however. Would I get the 2022 with the difetential improvement, well maybe wait for a used one, but since not likely to track it then the way the 2018 handles everywhere else is quite acceptable.

    if you dont like the hanging revs in sport mode without a tune, you'll like it less with a tune.... i have APR stage 1 ECU and TCU, and in dynamic sport, it usually won't upshift until 3500... but the gains are definitely worth it if you want more out of the car... i mean 0-60 in 3.2-3.3 range is unbelievable, but i also use the shifters when it gets too annoying with it hanging before actually hitting 3500... im sure you could do a different map, but that's what i have and its SOOOO enjoyable because the transmission is so responsive with taking over on the paddles... but after i do that i usually just click the shifter back down to go back into sport... also i have a 2018 which i actually like more than the 2019... other than that, great review... just consider that if you went stage 1 or stage 1+... and this being long enough ago, im sure you've already sold this car lol
