Despite the presence of railway lines throughout Japan, this type of accident would never happen. What's wrong with us?
Why do Ghanaians always support evil? The money our government spent on this train was taken out of the budget, and our children and grandchildren must bear the burden.

He is not bringing any factual evidence. He is appealing to the emotions of the people. Kofi's conclusions of the interviews was that because they people didn't have good roads, it's okay for them them to derail the roads even if it will destroy government or national property to make a statement. I am a Ghanaian and watching from the States. I don't have any political affiliation in Ghana. I am only happy Ghana has a high-speed train, so it bothers me to witness such an act that derailed the train. Perhaps this sort of punishment is essential to serve as a warning for this sort of behavior. Oman no beyeyie a efi hen ara! Ghana beyeyie a efi hen ara! Soooowa!

When was the first time Train started working on that road that the person will know that train will be passing so it's not advisable to pass on but here's the case we have more railways that we don't know when trains on it that sometimes our kids play on it so stop the blame things. If Ghana was a serious country like they will announce it first for all to know that the railway is going to be used from this date and that for all to be aware of it.

I was in Ghana when President Kuffour installed barbed wires on the Ringroad Central to prevent people from crossing except at designated crossings but people still scaled over the barbed wires and some even cut them off. We do not like to accept blame and learn. We take comfort in blaming others.
The Railways Authority must also learn from this. The lines must be monitored 24/7 to avoid mishaps.

@@mikemark123 lol have you driven a truck before? The head of the truck can't cause those scratches. It's rather the blocks (load) which was higher than the head. So off loading will free up some space for clear headroom. And if the head of the truck doesn't leave any headroom, then he shouldn't have forced his way in.

@@mikemark123 this logic seems he deliberately left the truck on the rail lines. Any judge will put it to him. If you are able to pass under the bridge with limited headroom due to the height of the load, why can't you pass under the same bridge now that you don't have any load?

Kofi the height restriction should have warned the driver when he was going through the first time. Anywhere there's a height restriction it means turn back find an alternative route even if that's 100 miles away or break up the load and use smaller vehicle . Low bridges exist all over Europe and they are respected. Another thing is why can't the residents use the underpass? In the UK we walk along the duel carriage till we can find a foot bridge.

Regardless of whatever the situation is in the village, there is no justification why a truck driver should drive a truck on a railcrossing. A small community like this one should know there is going to be constant testing on the rails. In a civilized world, this sort of thing will not be tolerated. This is ridiculously insane. I am not sure what the deal is. You said you would not justify that the truck driver did the right thing. But this is a national property, one of its kind in the country. This is common sense. It's a train line community. The citizens living in the area should know and educate them of all dangers and ramifications. There are assemblymen, chiefs, etc.. I don't really get it. It's a disgrace

Good interview and happy to hear from the other side. But there's still more questions to be answered. It sounds like a coincidence but maybe Kofi u need to double check the bridge height is correct I.e. 3m and check the vehicle type height as well; it doesn't look look 3m to me. Somethings just don't add up here in this case (cos seriously many ppl could have died that day). Also, how have all the other trucks escaped or managed to cross illegally and on that very day was when this one got stuck? But anyway we now know from these ppl that diff vehicles n trucks cross the line illegally at that point so that need to be investigated n addressed. Definitely the ppl need some kind of a walk bridge nearby in addition to the underpass bridge. That bridge is for vehicles n ppl it's not for rain water.

This fault is not the driver fault, the government needs needs to blem the constructor of the railway because the is no road for a big trucks to pass there, even the height of the bridge is 3m,how can a big trucks can if there was a good way for him to pass it won't be cause this problem so the needs leave the driver and a rest the constructor and buy the truck for the driver.
