H2 wheel bearings are so easy. It takes me longer to jack up and take the tire off and get the tools out than it does to change the wheel bearing. My H2 is lifted so all the extra room in the back makes it even easier. Front shafts are super easy as well.

U can keep the caliper on the bracket and just remove the two bracket bolts. Spread the brakes apart; Then just hang it up. I got 280K on my clock and replaced these twice. I always use Red locktite on suspension parts. A pain when you have to replace parts that have the red on them. This vehicle is very heavy and chews these up :(

Actually, now that I think about it, just about anything in the front end can be done in an hour or less.

You should have torqued that caliper bracket down to 221 foot pounds. I doubt you got it even close with that short wrench.

You're on drugs. I have the manual downloaded. I can't remember what the ft lbs were but it wasn't 221.....lol I don't even know why the bracket bolts on anything is so high when the slider pins aren't even close. I always do bracket bolts by feel with a half inch drive.

@@james102377 Yeah, the drugs help me read the torque specs. You should try.

@@alexandersepp9131 okay I take that back. I just got around to looking it up and you're dead on. Mine are only as tight as I could with a regular half inch drive ratchet and I haven't had any issues. I thought the axle shaft nuts were the most at 185 but really that depends on the wheel bearing. I have a Kryptonite in one side and their specs say 155.
