When in the video
Its at 8:45 after that squad was removed from the show, it went back to CFD, i think its a hazmat unit now
Thank you for showing those great shots of Chicago FD. I was wondering if they have the air control (Chain system) or do they put them on by manual brut force. The SNOW picture did not show chains ON.
Does anyone know what Chicago does in bad snowy weather. I worked for public works ( Plowing snow) we always Loved (Hated) putting on the big doubles for the rear set. We drive up on a big block of wood, then having to get under the dump box and sweat just trying to attach them. No fun, it was always hurry up We needed the plows out, all the time, was pissed because the supervisor was not proactive, having Plows already chained up. Chains are such a pain in the back side to install on dual Rears. I really like how Ladder came to complete STOP at intersection. I would stop at RED light camera intersection in the City, middle of night no traffic. Then go through the RED light. The camera would go crazy. We were trying to clean the main Heavy commute Roads before the work commute started, doing two or three Plows together, just pushing all the snow off the multi lane highways. Chicago is such an interesting city.

I ride in a big old 1991 Spartan Gladiator Truck everyday, but yet still love watching my fellow firefighters go!
So hard spotting when you arnt planning on it because sirens echo off of everything so pinpointing direction of travel and location is impossible , especially on small , closely packed streets

No. It's Engine 102's newer firehouse in Rogers Park. But it does have a similar layout to Engine 18's house :D

Paul Beumer The inside is a little smaller. The sleeping quarters is very different, it's more enclosed. But the kitchen, apparatus floor are the same.

Exhaust Hose. It's used to extract the fumes from an apparatus and vented outside.

how come the new trucks have the blues on the rear?
It's for enhancing safety of the firefighters when responding at night. As of 2014 the CFD stopped using the blue lights in the rear and placed them on the lightbars (unfortunately replacing the green light).
@@ArvellDorseyJr That sucks the green is gone. I grew up on that. I lived 2 blocks away from E129 T50 Ambo 30 in Gresham
