Your trip has looked amazing so far! I loved Amsterdam and this is making me want to go back!! Would you ever share the budget for this kind of trip? I know it's pretty personal and it depends on a lot of things (what you do/hotels/flights/etc.) but I'm thinking of trying to plan a similar month long/6 week trip next summer and I'd love to know a ballpark range just to get an idea of how much to be saving. I hope you both have a great rest of your trip!

Going to Amsterdam in August and taking the same flight to Santorini, would love you hear how the airport was at that time!
We got there a little before 2am and it was already hectic. About an hour for bag check, 1.5 hrs for security, and 30 mins in line for food at the only place open (actually had to wait for it to open). When it came down to it we didn't have much extra time (though we also weren't rushed) so I would recommend getting there around 2 tbh :/

The bike lanes in Amsterdam are no joke!! They will run you over with no regard
I'm honestly shocked I didn't get hit based on how much I accidentally walked into the bike lanes lol
If all tourists would just walk on the sidewalk no-one would get run over

Do not take the train from Bruges to Brussel, take the train to Antwerp and then to Amsterdam. It's shorter and Antwerp has one of the most beautiful trainstations in the world. Not something you should miss. It will be you best Instagram picture! You wont be seeing it when you sit in a train. Get out if you've 5 minutes to spare. Get out at amsterdam centraal, not amsterdam schiphol!! It's one stop further!!!! Never take a taxi from schiphol during the day, always take the train. Get a ov card at one of the machines and put some money on it. Public transport is one of the best of the world in the Netherlands. It's cheaper and faster if you're close to the city center. If you're staying in amsterdam zuid(south) take a taxi. Don't stay in south btw.

why americans get confused with european bike lanes? :D you're not the first one to be surprised and I don't get it, don't you have that in the usa at all?
In the US the bike lanes are on the roads beside the cars, not connected to the sidewalks! So I kept accidentally walking in them thinking it was sidewalk lol
