Billet to birdwings, here in ~5min. Real time, about 2 hours, most of which was spent heating the steel on/in(?) the forge. - Jak na to + styl

For those wondering what they making. This is a piece for a fence. And this guy is Richard Gere the actor. He's a real fan(passionate)with forging metals. And he's making hes own Farm entrance wich toke him 2 months to finish. The fence measured 1 1/3 miles and those big pieces was for the front gate.
I wish there was more description about what you were forming.

Incomplete video .
There is no explanation of what is being done. From what I can see is that an artist is trying to work with a heavy piece of steel by using a forge and a hydraulic press. It appears that he has only some knowledge of how these machines work and is rather clumsy in doing what he wants to achieve. In real life some kind of lifting devise would have been used and the people attempting to move the object would have better protection. Even the artist himself should have eye protection when his face was only inches from a heated steel object being stressed by the hydraulic press. I have seen similar attempts by other artists in other media and it is both amusing and disappointing.
He's one of the best blacksmiths on the planet
