  • damianbacci.com Join me in this lesson today as we take a look at Eddie Cochran's solo that he played on his song "Pretty Girl". It's a fun double stop guitar solo in the key of G that I think you'll really enjoy. :)

    Hey Damian. Curious on your thoughts with flatwounds. I have heard of quite a few people who lean to the rockabilly style using them. Yet many have told me that they will make the tone muddy and muffled. I will probably grab a set to determine myself, but wanted to hear from you in regards to it.

    • @Damianblf
      @Damianblf  Před 5 lety +1

      Hi Rusty James
      I like using flatwounds. A few of my guitars have flatwounds on them. In fact if you check out my "Good Rockin' Tonight" guitar lesson I'm using Thomastik JS 111 Jazz Swing Flatwounds (11-47) on my Joe Pass Emperor II. I think It all comes down to personal preference. Give'em a try, you may really enjoy them. :)

      @@Damianblf thanks for that input. I'll definitely give them a try. Obviously in this world each individual has individual tastes and preferences so what other claim I won't like is definitely not guaranteed. Keep on rocking, I really enjoy your material.

    This looks easy, but it is not. Start of riff, first finger is on the 3rd fret and 3rd finger is stretched down to the 6th fret. I need a short scale guitar!
