the stock rear bumpers are really just meant to be a grab handle, definitely not designed to take the weight of the whole sled haha, surprised you having running issues though. have a 22 rmk 850 and a 23 xcr 850 both have ran flawless
yea same i have a 22 rmk khaos and im only 13
Kinda makes me not mind my older, well paid for sled that can still be beat up a bit. Brutal man. Feel for you.
I have 350 miles on my xcr 850 so far everything has been good,a lot of wide open throttle pulls on the river where I usually ride.
Thats good! Hopefully i can say the same for mine now!
So dissapointing seeing all these new sleds break like crazy, especially with them being more expensive than ever, really hope things turn around sooner then later
I hope so too!
We’ve had a few new sleds with poorly made wiring harnesses and pins coming lose doing exactly this issue…🤷♂️ We put new harness in and fixed it🤙
Supposedly it was just the stator plug came off the voltage regulator, i have a hard time believing the plug and wiring is fine but they say it is. If it happens again I’m going to demand they get me a whole new harness lol
Wheelie Boys on sleds, great.
If it makes you feel any better, my 2023 $30k boost runs even worse. Less than 200km on it and it's lived in the shop trying to diagnose and fix it. I'm not shitting on Polaris because I've got a 2016 that I turbo'd that has 2600km on it. That one runs flawless and believe it or not, I'm actually still running the original factory belt. Something with the new ones is a major problem though.
Yeah my 2020 Assault 850 runs amazing still! The new batch must of had some lemons sadly
When it dies that ypu unplug ecm its on the clutch side will reset for pain i know but gets rid of limp mode
damnnn i just bought a 2022 polaris rmk khaos 155" and i put 872.6 miles on it and it seems to run smooth and good but the one problem i had with it was the fuse for the heated visor kept blowing out so i had to change it every 2-3 weeks
Weird! Well hopefully it treats you well!’
That’s all the rider
Not broken electrical
Friend of my in laws works for Polaris and had theirs take a shit the first time out to the black hills.
I've been seeing MANY new Polaris sleds breaking lately. Especially clutches and broken spark plugs. Seems the factory clutch is only good for about 500 miles give or take. Really sad how many problems new sleds are having considering how much they're asking for them. Skidoo has been having their own issues also.
Yes they all have issues sadly!
The machines post Covid, are only as good as the hands that assemble them. And anything/everything built post Covid as fine down the shitter. It’s a crying shame. These manufacturers want 20k for new sleds/wheelers and this is the result. I’m a ski doo guy and can tell you this problem isn’t exclusive to Polaris. Its been occurring across all brands… sorry that happened to ya bud. Most likely came off assembly on a Monday or a friday.
Yep it is sad! Definitely thinking of getting that extended warranty now!
@@KeatenPatterson Does the dealer have it now?
Got it back already so can’t complain about that… supposedly its fixed but they said that last time too so we will see😂
Wheeeeeeeliiieees
I have 22 boost khaos and 23 now and 9r khaos zero issue even from last year. Shit happens.
You hardly have any snow on the ground and no powder. So it explains to why it did this. Get a back bumper that supports the tunnel and youll be fine
The tunnel is my fault completely, but no excuse for the electrical issues. Especially since it started being problematic since it had 2 miles on it
Tunnel is designed to fold like that at the point of what’s called pogoing it. Which that’s what you did on the wheelie. Give BackWoods Bumpers a look. That will strengthen that tunnel big time.
Yep definitely getting a bumper. Knew i needed one but was hoping i would make it longer than that😂
Yeah we try to tell every customer that buys one to put at least a rear Backwoods Bumper on them before even leaving the dealership!
They all have their issues. I have a 2019 Free Ride and a 2000 Mountain Max 700 triple.
Wow, that is crazy. The tunnel should not bend that easy and a new machine should run perfect! The reason I buy new is because I don’t want to deal with issues, and you shouldn’t have too! It’s new. I’m not trying to shit on Polaris but I won’t be running one!!!!!!
No kidding!! Time to fix the tunnel and get a beefy bumper. But yes exactly, its brand new this shouldn’t be happening.
Sounds like your Throttle safety switch was acting up. The switch is there so if the throttle cable appears to be stuck it shuts off instead of killing the driver. I have also had the throttle cable freeplay be to loose and cause the same issue. Takes about 30 seconds to adjust. The tunnel appears to be truely driver error. I know guys that ride super hard out west in drainages and haven't had any issues like that. Again the runability issue seems like a very simple one to correct. A good dealer should be able to fix that under warranty real quick.
Just got it back from the dealer. Supposedly an electrical plug was loose. Lets see if it can keep running good now lol
@@KeatenPatterson Dude, I have had so manh of them since the IQ. My 2012 was riddled with problems but I never lost a weekend because of it. My dealer always had it back to me a few days. The rest of my Polaris sleds have been good. Especially my Axys sleds. I feel like all the brands are suffering a bit since covid.
Ya I agree. My axys ran mint all year
My father switched from polaris to skidoo back in the 90s. He has always said that Polaris treats their customers like Guniea Pigs to see what will and won't break. So far, from what I have been seeing lately I have no reason to doubt him.
Yeah I can’t say he is wrong haha! Although om facebooks groups i am seeing a lot of every brand breaking. Seems quality control isn’t a thing anymore
they are all guilty of that. except cat whose still selling a 2012 sled. Skidoo or poo can both impress you and depress you all in the same ride.
Yes haha at least ski doo and polaris have new chassis and motors!
@@KeatenPatterson my bit older cats come home every time with no issues , we see how that panned out for ya bud🤔 the one has 10k kms and hasent been touched
My buddies 2022 M8000 injectors got stuck open, filled the motor with gas, hydro locked it, then backfired and started on fire. This was literally last Sunday night. All of the brands are junk
man as soon as i started telling myself that polaris is climbing to the top with skidoo.. was actually thinking about buying a polaris next season and selling my skidoo. but nevermind!
My buddies with skidoo’s are having problems too sadly. It seems quality control went down the drain on everything
Polaris breaks the necks on the plugs and they have bad fuel pump issues this year
Wow dude that tunnel, that hurts.
Get a snowbike for that spot would be way more fun
As for the brand of Polaris and all of their machines, most of my friends and I have all had good luck with them, but maybe I'm old school, but to me why not stay on groomed designated trails, not only to somewhat keep erosion to a minimum, but to also try to keep your machine out of harms way,and what I'm saying is,why would you want to spend a lot of money on a great machine, only to run it ragged by boondookung thru the deep woods,oh well,it is what it is... different people, different ideas,it's all good !Stay safe and sound and Peace to all...💯👍😎
I don’t really enjoy trail riding and this snowmobile isn’t designed to stay on trails all day, but yes to each their own you ride safe too
@@KeatenPatterson it's all good, stay safe and sound good luck and have fun at a really awesome sport we all love and appreciate.Peace...👍💯😎
Lol just pure bad luck with yours. Riding eastern canada over here ontario terrain. 155 matryx khaos , ditch banging this polaris no problem. Skis up as well haha havent hit one stump in stump wonder land lol
Thats good!!
I’m thinking of trying to get a 2023 Polaris kaos 850 155 hopefully my friend can help me finance one I’m 15 and work so should be able to afford the payments
You should get an axys chassis that's a bit cheaper. If you need help financing then you can't afford it.
Never got the idea of a nickname that incorporates your sled name. Do you sell your name with the sled?
I don’t understand what you are asking
@@KeatenPatterson i thought you said "Luke" khaos in the beginning. i think it is new khaos after hearing it a few times, but your voice is muffled. so many attach a sled they just bought to their name.
Yes i was saying new khaos. Need to dial in my mic setup
That was about as exciting as watching paint dry.
Does anyone else's 850 rmk run like crap for the first 5 min after you start it? Sometimes it will start and barely idle and die a few times before it idles.. new '22 model with 180 miles on it..frustrating.. I know if I take it in it will sit at the dealership till the season is over
You could see how busy your dealership is. Mine was in and out in one day!
Zac might have a doo for sale!!!😂
Zac lol havent seen him since he abused that doo lol...
2 min garage starts s20 isnt a break in period lolol wouldnt touch anything that guy has had his hands on !!!!
That kid is so annoying and literally knows nothing at all! He cry non stop.
I hate that I watched this video last night go for a ride today and bend my tunnel🤦🏼♂️😂
Nooo!!!!😂😂
@@KeatenPatterson wasn’t quite as bad as yours but it still hurts the heart😂
That still sucks!! Same sled or different?
22, 155 pro
That’s too bad hopefully you can fix it easy!
fr this is why we never bye polarisis
Ya I agree stay away
Kowabunga Dude 🤦🏻♂️
Breaking a short tunnel is just wrong use. That wouldn’t happen if you had one finger on the break. Just a tip
Yeah trying to learn to keep my finger on the brake. Hard to break bad habits!
That poo does not catwalk like to doo’s do, I’m able to keep my skis off the ground all the way across fields and definitely got to get better at riding
My assault would stand straight up 12 o’clock forever. This thing just wants to flip over. I think I just need to adjust the suspension more
Bottom line polaris is taking alot of r&d shortcuts and the customers are getting really unworthy sleds too bad . This is what ruins companies.
I’m hearing the same thing from all the brands sadly. Ridiculous especially for the prices of sleds
Need to get some fuel treatment in it
It hadn’t even had two tanks of gas in it since new
Blaming stupidity on the manufacturer?...I don't think so...even though I'm NOT a Polaris fan!
Must not of watched the whole video. Its been having electrical issues since I brought it home from the dealer.
Hahahahahahaha that’s funny shit. Quit playing.😂
Where at in Michigan
Seney maybe? Good tree riding north of there.
Wakefield MI area!
@KP MOTO is it all just public so you can ride off trail? Never been up there but looks like fun place to ride
I believe it is, there are parts you can’t go I’ve been told but I dont know if there are any around where we have rode
You type of riders kill me that sled is not for what you are doing but its the manufactures fault really.
Please explain how the sled has been to the dealership twice for electrical issues and that has to do with how i ride? And this sled is literally designed for how i ride😂
So I abuse my sled , run the ski into a tree, stand it up on the Tunnel then complain about it?
Someone didn’t watch the video
@@KeatenPatterson the one where the ski hit the tree and sled was stood up
Yes but that wasn’t the issue. The issue was the electrical problem that keeps returning. At this point I already know body parts are bound to break the way I ride. But there is no reason the sled is an electrical nightmare and its brand new with under 200 miles
@@KeatenPatterson definitely agree with the electrical issue. Spending $ 20,000 plus and a short window of using them Sucks. I spoke to a dealer and said they should have sleds you can take if you’re new sled is in shop
You bend the tunnel if you do a wheelie no way I would never buy a polaris ever. On another note this is a new sled !! My god! Bring that pos back to dealer! Go with another brand any other would probably do better!
just buy a doo bro
If the dealership doesn’t figure this thing out i will have to. But I absolutely love the way it rides
They have been absolutely falling apart this year
Polaris has not been for shit this year
Plug
This is why ski doo is better
You are running over small trees and clearly are generally hard on her even a skidoo would be suffering the same except repair cost and parts on a skidoo is three times more for canadian junk
Not the reason its having electrical issues
Not to bright.
Not the darkest either
