Watching these clips in 2024, it’s like being in another world! I saw most of these films in the 1970s and it was a wonderful time. This world really has gone to pot and I am thankful that for a short while I witnessed this era. Elvis surely is the King. Such a wonderful human and God fearing man. One in a trillion and sent from above. He had his demons and like most of us was flawed, but above all he always paid homage to God and was a humble man. So, so sad these times are gone.

Snap, I was born the same year as you and I really miss the times of the 1960s/70s. Elvis was my favourite and will be until the end of my days. There is no one on earth like him today or will there ever be again. So sad that these special times have gone. You just cannot convey the feeling what hearing and seeing Elvis in these clips does. I often wonder what Shelley Fabres and some of his other co-stars still alive feel today, knowing that they were indeed in the presence of greatness. They must feel, like we to a certain extent, that that was a dream.
Look here people, Elvis was the only possible human alive to be chosen by the Universe to be himself. Fame, fortune etc., no one human being since has been able to be what he was with grace and humor. I have never, ever in my entire life, and I grew up with a whole lot of aunts on my dads side in rural Kentucky who loved that guy and and never stopped playing his music back in the 50's and 60's, known anybody, ever like him. Have you ever heard anybody criticize him? No, he was known as a gentlemen always who never did anything selfishly. I had a career as a musician in California after the service in the late 60's for almost 46 years...everybody I ran into who had know or met Elvis said the same thing. The nicest dude ever...I had a friend named Deborah Walley in California who was in a movie with Elvis..even back in l978 when we sat around her kitchen table out in Malibu Lake did she ever say anything but how great he was as an actor and a man...that's all.
I remember this movie Shelley fabre was so beautiful My favorite with Elvis. She sang beautifully also..Johnny (Jeany) angel was a great great song. Jeany angel how I love him ❤❤❤ I am sure 💗
Shelley Fabares was Beautiful and just so sweet, I believe Elvis really enjoyed doing movies with her. It was a loving Friendship they had. Good clean fun.

And sweet, not focused on sex focused like the other two you mentioned. Ann Margerett was also unique. And she was a bombshell. I agree Connie Steven's was kind of a type, but she had star power.

I was 14 or 15 years old and I was already bored by these female artists that were imposed on us. They were all identical and custom made expressly for teenagers of the time. Although the tv was more varied and much more interesting than today.

One thing to note here: Elvis in Hollywood is handsome, superbly made-up and very sophisticated. And then suddenly it's all over, no more Hollywood to take care of his appearance, and Elvis left to his own devices in Las Vegaz looks like a homeless man or Pope John XXIII.

In 1967 when I was babysitting and after I had put the kids to bed i found in their home, this 45 ..and FELL IN LOVE with it & imagined my boyfriend singing it to me playing it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for HOURS until the people came home. An eternity ago but listening now remember the heart pangs & it seems like yesterday
These young ppl would not understand how we played an Elvis 45 over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. (Trying to match all your overs again lol)
Just seen Shelly fabares for the first time on here, what an absolutely stunning looking woman, the kind that you would want to be seen with. Just a natural girl unlike the tattooed bimbos that we have today. The women were gorgeous back in the 50s and 60s and I was lucky enough to have lived through that time. Where did it all go so wrong.

The script fun and very good for the type of film it was, a fun summer flick, and everyone seemed like they really had a ball making it. I love these movies because we really were that innocent in the 1950s. The world has evolved into such a mess in 2020. I wish I could give my grand kids the great times I had. They do love a lot of the music from my youth -- a good sign.

This takes me straight back to my teenage years, I was just 19 yrs old when I saw this film and fell immediately in love with Shelley. That hairstyle and dress was totally iconic for the period. At the time she had recently got married and was 2 yrs older than myself.
Elvis adored Shelley but she had just recently been married when this movie began production , otherwise Im sure there would have been a romance here . A very pretty wholesome young lady she was so endearing. Shelly and Ann Margaret his two favorite girls , and they were both gorgeous inside and out . Decent lovely women both of them .

People always say the best chemistry was between Elvis and Ann-Margret. True in some regards but in terms of realism, I disagree. The realistic, believable human chemistry was actually between Elvis and Shelley Fabares. Neither was trying to outdo each other in the spotlight. They flowed perfectly together.

This takes me straight back to my teenage years, I was just 19 yrs old when I saw this film and fell immediately in love with Shelley. That hairstyle and dress was totally iconic for the period. At the time she had recently got married and was 2 yrs older than myself.
And believe me, people still love Shelley for all the same reasons...cheers.

Elvis adored Shelley but she had just recently been married when this movie began production , otherwise Im sure there would have been a romance here . A very pretty wholesome young lady she was so endearing. Shelly and Ann Margaret his two favorite girls , and they were both gorgeous inside and out . Decent lovely women both of them .
I bet Elvis had a thing for Ann Margaret.
She said in an interview that she never had any attraction to him, and they had a good friendship bc of it.

People always say the best chemistry was between Elvis and Ann-Margret. True in some regards but in terms of realism, I disagree. The realistic, believable human chemistry was actually between Elvis and Shelley Fabares. Neither was trying to outdo each other in the spotlight. They flowed perfectly together.
That's a really great movie. I bought a copy of it.

I so loved Shelly Fabre & so adorable! Loved the two of them in this movie! She & Annette Funicello were best friends & maids of honor in each other’s wedding! Just loved them both!♥️
