      if you dont play games you could save yourself a lot of hassle and go with a smaller GPU :) that 4070 was fun to fit! But yes, I also love wood on PC cases, I keep looking at the fractal north, if they made a smaller size I would snap it up!

    Fantastic build mate 👍I've currently squeezed in a Inno3d 4070ti + Ryzen 5700x in a Ghost S1 case, and I thought mine was small! Amazing to see a 7800x3d work in an ITX case. Looking forward to more builds like this

      @@MashITTech no its not, a 13900hx or 14900hx is better than 7800x3d, a 4080 laptop or 4090 laptop are very close to 4070, better in some tests, this mini pc is 2k usd and so are the 4080 laptops, 4090 laptops are about 2300 minimum, but keep in mind a laptop is much portable and has all peripherals needed to use everywhere, i know gaming laptops are not good at battery life but just having an integrated screen is much better
      the only upside to this pc is that it runs quiter, you have to tweak gaming laptops settings to get them to be quite but you sacrifice performance
      you simply dont need to compare, each one has its use case, you cant tell someone to use mini pc when he needs to take it university as example, most people want one computer for everything and gaming laptops like legion 7i are so good at it, use it at home, office, school and its one piece of hardware only connect a charger and use it

    Sorry, but I never managed to see the segment of ITXs, outside entuthiasts. Sure, it's nimble for a desktop, but you still have to carry a screen, keyboeard and mouse around. So what exactly is the benefit from a gaming laptop that comes at a similar performance and at the same price, but includes it all and can be connected to bigger screens and better peripherals when needed?

    • @Sulphur_67
      @Sulphur_67 Před 26 dny

      upgradeability and repairability

    • @henrikg1388
      @henrikg1388 Před 26 dny

      @@Sulphur_67 Basically the same arguments as for a desktop. So, I guess it it simply a nimble desktop then. But the issue is that it is so small that only a small GPU fits in, and only one or two SSDs, meaning the GPU performance is the same or lower than a laptop, and storage/memory upgradeability is the same.
      It seems unlikely you would ever upgrade the CPU or the GPU, so it boils down to repairability and small format, in exchange for everything in a flat package. Am I missing something?
      I guess if you want your home to be more stylish, with just a smaller box, wireless input devices and just a screen, but other than that, I don't see it.

      There is no performance lost because of the psu, it’s a 600w so more than enough. The only lost fps is because the cpu can’t boost quite as high with the l9a compared to a large cooler and we are only talking 200mhz so minimal fps loss
