Magic Of Mantovani Orchestra Playing Charmaine

  • www.mantovanimusic.com The signature tune of the great Mantovani featuring the Mantovani sound of cascading strings, the way it sounded in the 1950s. This version is by The Mantovani Orchestra UK where a live concert was performed in front of a sell-out Bournemouth Pavilion audience.
Mantovani was a perfectionist in his art and his sound has never been authenticated as well as the orchestra managed in this live concert from 2010 in the UK.
Many people try to mimic the original sound but fail to deliver, this orchestra pulls it off with ease, so it seemed.
Perhaps it's because they have exclusive use of the original scores and a number of the original percussion instruments as played by Paul Barrett, it's hard to find their secret but every single concert is an absolute gem and can now be found on DVD from www.barrettfilmsmantovani.com with other, original, items including CDs and concert programmes.
Charmaine, heard here in this sample video, is just a small taste of what the Magic Of Mantovani Orchestra perform to perfection at each concert from the UK where, being there is just that; Magical.
The DVDs are not the ones you may see in the shops, they are exclusive extended versions with very rare Mantovani footage. If you enjoy Mantovani and his Orchestra, you'll love this collection of Mantovani Gems.

As a senior guy now semi retired, I have time to sit and listen to these great tunes I grew u p with in the 1960's. Grace, style, elegance, such a different world then. Remember my father with the huge radio sitting in the living room with its beautiful ivory buttons turning on Journey Into Melody on Sunday mornings with Joe Black in Cleveland Ohio. This type of music was common place all day sunday and just set a relaxing tone in our home. So thankful these beautiful songs still exist for our listening enjoyment and escape from todays garbage from the media.

"Grace, style, elegance, such a different world then" is an observation beautifully put. In those good old days, a vinyl record cost a fortune, and Mantovani albums above all were literally treasures, which I listened to hundreds of times, whereas nowadays music is just for consumprion for the moment.

Without Ronald Binge Mantovani would have been nothing! Ronald was with the orchestra for years and was the inventor of the incredible 'cascading strings' that made Mantovani's music so wonderful. Thank you to them both for such a beautiful tune!

this tune brings tears to me such good memories of days when iwas at home with the family and life did seem simple just seemed that way, as you get older you realise how hard it must have been to bring a family up.

Sitting here home-bound due to Conovid, spirits low, sky heavily grey with rain. I watched this video of an impeccable group of musicians playing my favorite song and immediately felt joy and beauty as the sound caressed my ears. There is much beauty to be found on CZcams. Stay Safe everyone and we will get through this, with the help of music like this

Brings back lovely memories of day trjps to Southend on Sea from Tower Pier London on the Royal Eagle steamship with my parents in the late 1950's. I was about aged 10 then, both my parents are long gone but at 74 this brought a tear to my eyes. It was my Dads favorite music at the time.

Recently I heard all the tunes from the DVD "Mantovani Concert Spectacular" which is the LIVE performance in Poole UK. last autumn. The performance reminds me of the Mastro's beautiful music. Espesially I appreciate Mr.Paul Barrett's great efforts to the concert.

The string arangements are really beautiful.
Strings playing as a group exceed what any solo virtuoso can produce.
Sad but true and generally unaknowledged.
