  • Lunatic Blossom
We have many “sides” of ourselves.
The dark, the bright, the in-between,
And also the beautiful, artificially made side we wished other people to see.
The moon is allegorical of ourselves.
We have those times where we show both our dark sides and our bright sides, but no matter what phase we are in, we ーthe moon, lunaー are still one whole existence.
The withering cherry blossom has the message of “mono no aware” awareness of the impermanence of all things, gentle sadness about this state being the reality of life, knowing that none of it can last.
By this collection, I would like to bring up the awareness that having many different sides or even personalities in every inch of our life is normal and nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of.
These two coordinations are targeting Muslim career women who spend her daily life between work and personal life in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the capital city, Tokyo.
The purpose behind monochrome colors is to appeal and encouraging Muslim minorities to blend with the other Tokyoites, staying modest while expressing the beauty of ”Muslim woman in black” and dispel the negative prejudice of Islam.
Designed in the value of modest conventional style, A-silhouette looks with combination of cotton polyester, tory burch, organza and lace as main material. Hakama skirt-pants and Haori outer are picked to imply the Japan-inspired theme of this collection.
