love ur videos..... straight to the point without too much talking..... and very good explanations
I watched this video and learned how to do a mid tempo decent sounding enough to actually scratch in front of people in one day.. I guess I graduated from my 2-click :)
these are great.
thanks so much, and its great to see you guys go over things you have previously went over with different angles and different methods of teaching
2 things that helped me a lot to learn this on a fundamental level are 2 click flares, and doing boomerangs without the flare form
Perfect to the point tutorial. Have my foundation stated now time to practice to tighten up those skills. Thanks for sharing!!

DJ Dirty Digits:
I really appreesh You explaining this Skratch...I have been workin'on it now consistently for about the last 96 hours+. It is an extremely humbling Skratch! I have found that actually closing my Eyes helps considerably. What is it with NOT bein'able to get that 2nd "Pop" (the last note)?!? I tried workin'on draggin'back for the 1st note on the 1-2-3, essentially inverting the order to work on that 2nd "Pop" to get the 'MuscleMemory' down.
I have seen progress JUST w.in the last 24. No Joke. It is inspiring to write the least! I jus'turn on my SP-202 an'keep uppin'the BPM!!! ;-)
Thank You again, Brother!
Peace!
Cog Nado the last 96+ hours?? Dude, get some sleep! xD
Man, I've been trying to nail this for weeks but lose it on that last note also, linking to the next. It's crazy because it's just a repeat of the first three movements on the fader, 2 sets of 3, but the last movement, the 6th or second stab on 3 just feels so alien. Starting to think there's something wrong with me, like how the hell can't I get it? It's so simple, but my brain and hand just dies. Scratching hamster, not sure if that makes much difference. I can do it slow, but it's really a fast scratch right? Just can't get that flow and rhythm, it's driving me insane lol. How is yours nowadays, did you get it int he end?
@@thattablebloke Bro just do it super super slow with no beat for ever and ever and eventually it'll click. Don't be fast at all- like do it literally slow motion.
🤘👽Thank's
I love u bro
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👊🏿👊🏿

Is it normal that I'm practising this scratch for 1.5 months now, and still have issues handling the fast speed
+Loco DeMexico nah im in the same boat as you. i can get two or three in but then lose it. im best with this cut to beats that are 65pm-89bpm at the moment. just learned this one to
+matthew wood by now i can handle it up 100 bpm with right hand on the cf and up to ~90 with the other one. but it feels great when you can do it more than 3 or 4 times, but even a smooth endless loop ;)
your a beast!!!
ive took anywhere from a few hours to 4+ months to get used to some scratches.
Did you get this one in the end? I can't get it at anything over 70 atm :/ The flow isn't there yet, but hopefully it'll come after a while.
Unbelievable
Man what the hell. I would have to forget everything I know and retrain my timing.
Just practice it in Triplets on the beat. I practiced the triplets for about 2 weeks and didnt notice any improvements. once u have the triplets u can make it fluent in halve time easily within a few days. But if u want to go to full time u really need to work on your triplet speed first and after glue it together once more for full speed. I tried just doing the boomerang halve time and just try to make it faster as a whole. that wasn't possible for me. I think the best method really is:
1. Practice first 3 sounds pause second 3 sounds pause for 1 or 2 days
2. Glue them together in halve time. Practice this for 1 or 2 days
3. Practice first 3 sounds in full speed, pause, second 3 sounds in full speed, pause for 1 or 2 days
4. Glue it together in full speed.
CUT!
I can not get that damn hand movement at a fast pace. Ive been trying for over a year
same bro. I found working on my slices, dices, and stabs individually has helped
gotta practice consistently can u two click flare? if not my advice is learn that first and it will help
Lol you can see your digits want to get busy when showing how to do it slow time
Dose anybody notice when he does Boomerang quicker the truth is it's not boomerang scratch. It's swing flare.
