  • Its all systems go as the government is set to officially commission the Thika superhighway today. The reconstruction of the road which has been divided into three sections from Nairobi's Museum hill round-about to Thika town, has been jointly funded by the Kenya government, the African development bank and the people's republic of china. Denis Otieno gives us the milestones of this infrastructure project which has been completed at a cost of 31 billion shillings.

I remember Visiting Kenya with my Wife in 2011, and on our way to Samburu Land, our Driver Used portions of that Highway to get Us there, it was nice to see Kenyans working along side the Chinese to improve the Transportation Infrastructure of Kenya. Kenya is definitely on the right Track of modernization, and the Agricultural potential is great as the People and Clans come together to nurture that sector, It will be a day of rejoicing for the greater long term stability in the Region. Also on the way back on that Highway we headed to Masai Land with stops to Lake Nakiru, The Great Rift Valley, The Equator, Thompson Falls and other points of Interest. Kenya has great Potential and represents To Me The Eye Of Africa My Ancestral and Spiritual Home Land. Harambee My People Jah Love.

50km of a super highway, lets not get overexcited. The country is big and needs more. ALOT more and I mean alot. Focus: the next priority. I'd say minimum wage.

    quote:Published on Oct 12, 2012
Youth in Kisumu town have now embarked on the manual removal of water hyacinth from lake Victoria. The weed that has been in the lake for the past two decades has led to a major decline in fishing stocks and deaths of several fishermen. The youth are now calling on the government to help in releasing funds meant to facilitate the removal of the weed that has chocked the lake.

Kibaki this Kibaki that. Kibaki did not build this highway. Your tribal prejudice blind you and you are latching onto everything for your tribal head. Kenyans will pay for this road all the billions that went to it and the billions they stole and included in the final bill.
