I agree with you with pouches. I made a mistake myself too! I bought the toiletry 26, and for a year or so I haven’t really used it. Every time I try to used it I always indeed up using a different pouch which usually I get for free when I buy makeup or perfumes. Chanel Earrings are on my wishlist. Thanks for sharing!❤️❤️❤️
Not the run in the tights so fast!! 🤣 and you are so right with people and all the slg’s 🤯 I always wondered how they managed with them all! Too much work for me girl haha thanks for all the info! 🥂🎄
Thanks so much for this video! I was planning on getting a Chanel mini in patent leather. After you said they begin to yellow, I’m definitely not getting it. 💕
Thanks for watching! ❤️ So happy you found it helpful. Dark colors may be okay in patent leather since you won’t see the change in color but it’s definitely too risky with light colors.
Hi regarding with tribal earring i heard from a youtuber that she dipped her costume jewelry with colorless on the metal part where it will touches your skin and i think its a great idea worth a shot :)
I feel it's ridiculous to pay exorbitant sums of money for luxury costume jewellery because the materials used are no better than the dupes that you can find on the market, which cost 5-10% of the luxury retail price
I totally agree with these. I NEVER got the hype about those Rodeo charms either. I agree that they look like kids' charms and no way in hell would I spend my money on those. And I have a Chanel brooch with pearls and when one of the pearls fell out, they kept it in the store for MONTHS only to tell me they can't fix it. Well, that was the last pair of costume anything that I bought.
Wow that’s ridiculous! Did they give you store credit or anything to make that up to you? I feel like Chanel should start providing spare stones/pearls for their costume jewelry when someone purchases it just like how clothing comes with spare buttons.
Thank you so much Olga!!! ❤️ I think it is important to talk about ways to shop smarter and not waste money because it is so easy to get sucked into this mentality of constantly buying things just because you like it or it looks pretty. I used to be so bad at this and it was an expensive lesson to learn.
Great point. I do have the gucci tights and think they add a edge to my outfits. You do have to be very careful when putting on tights they are delicate . They have to be handwashed in warm water with Woolite. I agree with the Chanel stones falling out, although I never had an issue with my brooches etc. I love Hermes custume jewelry, but agree that fine jewelry is best. Great video and examples.
Haha exactly. And it’s sold for such a high markup because it costs them nothing for materials since it’s probably just scrap pieces of leather. I have to applaud Hermes for managing to market it as such a desirable item though.
I love Chanel earrings but I get the ones with no studs. I tried to purchase the gucci tights 3 times last fall and each time I talked myself out of it because 1. I hate stockings! (Lol) 2. I can see me fuming the moment the ripped. Better to putt that money towards some designer shoes or something
About Wolford: This is the brand I have my bodysuits, some dresses, skirts, and stay-ups from, as well as underwear (tights I only have one pair, so I can't say too much about this category). But the rest ist absolutely great quality! I have clothing pieces from them which are 25 years old and still look great - and I wash them in the washing machine, and Yes, the stay-ups as well (they're about 5-6 years old by now) (usually gentle cycle). As I said, I can't speak for tights, since I don't like wearing them, but the rest is really well-made and worth the price tag. 😊 Edit: And a big NO to the Gucci tights 😉!
Hi Carol, What do you think of Hermes clic H bracelets? I considered buying one a few years ago. Since then they increased in price. I know they are only gold plated I think, and that they will scratch but I find that gold also gets scratched. I am trying to upgrade my wardrobe and add some designer items that I like and work for me, but I don’t want something “not worth it”. What do you think?
Even though they are gold plated, it still is costume jewelry. With solid gold jewelry if it gets scratched, it’s still gold underneath. But with gold plating, the layer of gold is very thin compared to the metal underneath so if the scratch is deep enough it will reveal the metal. You can get a solid gold item polished to remove the scratches, although I wouldn’t recommend doing it often because it will shave off small amounts of gold. I haven’t had any experience getting something that is gold plated repaired so I’m not sure how that would work. I find that bracelets definitely get the most wear and tear of all my jewelry because unless I don’t touch anything, they will ultimately bump against things. So no matter what you have to be okay with getting scratches on your bracelets. Personally I would prefer to buy fine jewelry instead, even if it’s from a local jeweler and not a well known luxury fine jewelry brand. As for the Hermes chic H bracelets specifically, no matter the width I think it is too flashy and bold. I am not a fan of the H logo on the bracelet as I prefer jewelry to be more understated. If you take out the H logo it isn’t really anything special and you can find stacks of similar enamel bracelets at a bunch of retailers (although they might not be gold plated). Hope this helps in some way 😄
CAROL CHAN That makes a lot of sense! I generally don’t prefer bracelets because just like you said, they get the most wear. Plus I don’t like to keep things on my hands for a long time, so I own two watches that I barely use. It is just that the clic H bracelets seem like a nice addition to elevate an outfit. I guess it is the CZcams effect of seeing something so popular and then wanting to have it. But I do think you are right. Just like you, I don’t buy designer fine jewelry because I find that despite being pretty, they are generally dainty. I am a bigger taller woman and delicate pieces don’t look good on me, so I buy bigger fine jewelry without the famous name for the same amount of money.
Maybe buying a timeless watch like a Rolex would be better. If it’s gold plated, I really don’t think it’s worth it. You are paying for the name not for quality.....
You mentioned cleaning jewelry. Can u share how to clean brass or tarnished jewelry with either seed pearls or enamel on them? Esp if the chain is mesh and is difficult to get to each hole without some kind of liquid solution instead of using a tarnish remover cloth.
I can relate to what you share!!! By the way, if you ever wanted to sell your Hermes scarves please let me know, I'd be interested to buy them! Thank you!!
Hi Carol! Love your videos!! Would you mind putting the caption or pictures of the item? i I just it easier to engage and visualized!!!
Yes I will do that. Thanks for letting me know ❤️

We can’t overlook the freebies that we get as a gift with purchase 😄 Which pair of earrings are you interested in?
CAROL CHAN 🤣 Free is always better! The one that CC white Pearl hanging with crystal in gold. I don’t know that name of the earrings lol.
Not the run in the tights so fast!! 🤣 and you are so right with people and all the slg’s 🤯 I always wondered how they managed with them all! Too much work for me girl haha thanks for all the info! 🥂🎄
You’ve reminded me to clear out all my tights that have ripped...I don’t even know why I’m still holding on to them 🤣🤷🏻♀️

I really enjoyed this video. I like the "sensible" topics like this one and you are very relaxing to listen to

Agree the Gucci tights are great to add an extra touch to an outfit. I like how it can lean more edgy or more feminine depending on how it’s styled.
Totally agree on the rodeo charms, never understood them.

Completely agree! I’ve tried so many tips and tricks for making tights sturdier/less prone to ripping and none of them work.

Sorry I don’t have any experience cleaning jewelry like that. I usually use a polishing cloth to remove tarnish.
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC can you provide images of the items you're talking about next time.
Yes I’ve started to do that for all the videos after this one (this is an older video of mine).
@@CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC Thanks! I was curious to see what the items were.
