I just smashed my frog gig. Much easier to fit in a kit, and lash to a pole. Brilliant! Thanks!

Great idea for the sheath. I have some pvc lying around. I need to replace my duct tape/leather sheath. My young grandsons are very curious.

Great idea. I have a gig but never tried to attach it to a stick. I assumed I would carve the end of the pole to match the hole and secure with a wood screw or one of those L shaped screw in hangers. What size PVC pipe did you use? I have been protecting mine with duct tape over the tines. I have subscribed to the channel for awhile but don’t remember you Jason. Your content and presentation were really impressive. 👍

I’m the new guy! I think it was a piece of 1 inch PVC. Thanks for watching!

ON Three - I guess it depends on how many tines. Measure the tine width. Select PVC size which has a circumference greater than twice the measurement and proceed. Or get the next size larger to be sure.

A trick with any type of folding knife when you have to baton is to only open up the blade 90 degrees. that way your only stressing the pivet and not the lock aswell. The lock isnt engaged so caution is required but i do it all the time with my swiss army knife. Felix Immler made an video on how this is done with a slipjoint swiss army knife on his channel. Here is the link skipped to the part in which its demonstrated

I spent a month in the swamp trying not to be carried away by mosquitoes! The show was called, “Alone: The Beast” and was aired on the history channel in Canada but not yet in the US.
