- 720P gameplay of the story campaign for Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 for the Xbox 360. This is chapter 1 Prologue and Rite of Passage. This is a light gun-style game that uses the Top Shot Elite gun. It's a pretty fun game. The story campaign is a free roam game where you walk by moving the thumbstick.
Now this game would've been awesome if it had Kinect voice commands because some of the controls are bad like for switching weapons or having to click down on the right thumbstick of the gun to point in the right direction. I would've loved to say "path" to point me in the right direction. It would've been better if you could just say "rifle" or "shotgun" or "pistol" instead of sluggishly cycling through weapons with the right stick on the gun or pressing the X button. And when the action gets intense, the framerate and responsiveness drops so it's hard to aim when the reticle is not responsive to the gun.
There is one major bug. If you want to save your progress in the story campaign, you have to disconnect your 360 from the Internet. If you leave your 360 connected while playing this game, it appears to save your game but it doesn't. Be warned.

I remember my dad getting me this game when I was ten and I loved it. Even though I could never beat the third part I still loved it.

My parents got me this game about 10 years ago or something like that I can’t remember, but I remember loving the game so much. I couldn’t get past the full moon level cause it was scary (I know I was a big baby) but two years ago I got it for my PS3 and I beat the game. So much nostalgia

I like the themes of the 09,11,13 games
09 having a revenge story interlaid with a action like aesthetic.
11 having a horror like aesthetic centered around hunting a father's demon
And 13 being about a family trauma leading to two brothers who had grown apart now coming back together
2011 had so much to it that connects pretty much most of Cabela’s games stories together
The game may not be realistic at hunting but it is awesome to play it with all the action

@@WilliamAfton524 Tigers are MUCH more powerful than pumas. They've been known to kill guar (Indian bison) weighing three thousand pounds.
Pumas are no pushovers though, as they readily tackle bull elk, young moose, and wild horses.
I can’t believe I finally found this after so long of searching from memory.
I remember this game was hard, and the nighttime levels were so dark that you had to play in a room with the lights off. But still, it was a fun game. Outpost was always my favorite level.

How come nobody talks about or has hunting games. Games like: Big Game Hunter Pro Hunts, Big Game Hunter 2010, Deer Drive, Matthews Bowhunting, and Dangerous Hunts 2011. These games are awesome. But people, for whatever reason, like Call of Duty and Fortnite better.

I remember getting this when it came out and being really disappointed because it isn't a hunting simulator like the first game. It's just a hunting-themed action adventure game. But nowadays I am glad that there are still hunting simulators on the market even if Cabela's has given up on the simulator genre altogether for well over 10 years now. I'm guessing hunting simulators are too niche to make enough profit off of for such a large corporation.
I liked this game. But da mn was it hard. Full moon and wildfire always gave me trouble. Caverns also was a pain.

I played DH:09 as a kid and have been watching gameplay of 11 and 13, this and 13 seem to have lots of action too although I'll give you credit, 09's quick time events made it really cinematic at times haha

Hey chica go get a wii u or a ps3 or somthing. I hope you get the next cabelas dangrous 2013 besides some people think these games get worse but come on it's really not a simulator. Just because it don't have a lot missions doesn't mean it's a simulator. One part was hard but if there's vultures eating you up then get the shotgun and hunt them all down. Besides I am the big game hunter and the 2013 edition at the end of the game you hunting a big black lion in a arena just if you stand still they won't move as much but I made the hole career mode without having to die in the game and oh yea 10 years past In Alaska your hunting a grizzily bear and it's really not as hard but I did play the 2013 edition on my xbox360 and the game is easy. If you get bored then play man eater mode and play all amazing levels and survive till the 10th round not that hard isn't it??? Why no these games are sometimes fun than the older hunting games. And tell your animatronic friends that you played this and follow me on ps3 as Vaso D.
