Description:
When your car key is not working remotely or electronically and you are looking to open the door but you can't because battery is totally dead in the car or in the ignition's battery . Now you need to open the car's door manually . Please follow the following steps:
Step 1. Open/ take off the cap with flat screw driver or any tool (on left hand side of the door)
Step 2. Insert the car key and turn the key
Step 3. Pull the door and it will open.
Starts at 1:40, your welcome.
And thanks to the uploader.
It took a while with a butter knife, a screwdriver and a small hammer, but I finally got there. Thanks a million mate, you saved the day!!
:-D i know right? was frustrating to see a small key cover defeat a seemingly healthy and strong man. took over a minute to pull it off. I just dig my fingers in and pull and in less than 2 seconds I'm sorted
Thank you so much I was struggling with my micra the is not working I didn’t know what to do till I saw your video thank you 🙏
Thank you so much 🙏.my husband was 2 hours trying to open is .after I saw your video in 2 seconds.👌🏻
its designed to be pulled off from the bottom and is easier that way. you can use the key even. there is a small slot in the plastic
oh, didn't know that. even tho i'm 59 seconds faster than the healthy and strong man at pulling the cover off, i'll try that. Cheers.
Always carry a spare Battery for your Key . It’s a 1620 button battery.
Great video though.
Had no idea that there was a manual key lock on a Micra, thanks a lot man 👍🏻
This is the second video ive seen you dont need a pen knife or a screw driver to take the cape off the revile the lock
Many thanks I did wonder how these covers come off and I did guess there had to be a key insert behind that cover but was unsure.
Now I saw your vid excellent perfect vid.🚙
Thanks it was very helpful because I got the same issue, thanks
It's working thank you
Thank you!
Thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing. It was helpful this morning when the battery of my Nissan note died.
You are welcome!
Don't use a screwdriver! It could easily damage the lock or scratch the paintwork.
The little dark slot shown at the bottom of the keyhole cover is a clue: it will take the tip of the key.
Just insert the key and lever the cover off. It will come off easily without force.
Very helpful thanks great video
Well done!! Thank you very much brother 👍

Really help mate
Hi.
Very helpful.
Thank you.
you are wellcome.
thanks so much im in , this is why i ride a motorbike lol
Many thanks 🙏
You solved my problem !
you are well come!
Instead of trying to force the cover off from the top, look at the underside and you will see a slot to fit a small screwdriver
Just put ya key there and move key towards you then you dont damage anything
Great tip! Many thaanks!
Thanks buddy 👍
Thanks man!
you are welcome.
Thank you
Thabk you
Thank you!!!
you are most welcome.
Great video very helpful! Unfortunately my micra has had a new key and so the manual key doesn’t fit the lock shown in the video. Does anybody have any ideas of how to get in/ charge the battery without unlocking the car?
There should be a slit on the underside of the plastic cover, which the key will fit in. Just press the key inside and the plastic cover will pop - no need to use a knife/screwdriver against the door and potentially scratch it in the process.
Thanks!!
How do I unlocked the door with no key and dead battery. To a 2009 Maxima
Okay my only issue is all my doors stay open other then the one I used the key on, is that meant to happen?
Thank you! Just bought a Micra as my first car, and was thinking how the hell do I get in when the fob battery dies.
you are Wellcome.
@@coolnet8224 hi how do i open boot on missan micra 2003 model
You had also no idea that from the other side door there is no cover and you can use your key without any other actions :-)
💯
What about the trunk because I can’t open my trunk
I have a Micra just like this ..Does anyone know why this car keeps draining the battery? In the last few weeks I have replaced a battery, had a service done with the plugs and now today the car won't open the door (so it's fully drained now) key fob won't respond ffs
🎉
great - could it not be a flat battery in key fob itself and not car battery ? but still interesting to know - - - thank you for sharing
Hi there, yea you right it could be both, key fob or car battery is dead. But in this video car battery was dead and it works for both purpose.
thank you - and your video was really helpful -
trueblue you are welcome !
Oh, terrible how the paint is mistreated with this tool!
At the bottom of the cap there is a smal slit (you can see it at 2:08), here you can put a screwdriver to lift the cap - without touching the paint
I dont have the metal part of the key (lost it). How do I open the car door now. Any solution plz..
Sorry, Ashraf. Probably best to contact the garage
Thank you so much for this video, the key opening is not of the right hand drivers door but on the left hand passage door (in the UK). I was really fighting to figure out how to get into the car. The door closed the car was running and all i had was the spare key. Luckily i decided after a few attempts of other methods i have used on other cars in the past to see if there were other solutions, Good job i did. .
I followed this and got entry to the car, however when I put the key in the ignition, the car wouldnt start....and i couldnt open the driver door
Rachael Young I think your car battery may have also dead though . In this case you need to do jump start with two lead connecting to other car
Can I suggest you start the video at the point you start to work on the cover rather than showing the car and the door handle (about 1:45 minutes in)? Also when you're prising off the cover you either cover what you're doing with your hands, or the camera drifts off the handle. Finally all you need to do is to insert your key into the slit under the cover and pull the key towards you and the cover pops off.
Not interesting. Everybody knew this already.
Well, I didn't. So not everybody then.
You just saved me a lot of stress, cheers pal !
