Audi A3 2017 Gas Cap Cover Stuck (DIY Repair)

The gas cap cover got stuck closed and pressing on it wouldn't open it. Pulling on the red release cord inside the panel of the trunk also did not help. I had to pull the entire internal component of the gas cap housing out before I could diagnose that the issue was the actuator and I pulled it out.
I found some diagrams and it showed me what it looked like and I went to the local Audi dealer's OEM parts store and luckily they had one in stock (this may not always be the case)
