So cute. I'm sorry the other puppy couldn't be saved. But if she was in pain and nothing was able to be done to relieve it, putting her at rest was the right thing to do, although it's always heartbreaking. My best wishes for all of the other puppies. Thank you for all you do.

I'm so sorry little Caroline didn't make it. I'm glad she was shown love during her short time here on earth. It broke my heart. I have to remember she is out of pain and has crossed over Rainbow Bridge. You are an angel to love and care for these precious, innocent fur babies and I thank you for that. God bless you.

Lucky the breeder gave the puppy up. Most breeders put disfigured pups down. It's a strictly business to them, just like any cattle or sheep farmer, they can't afford to get emotional or they'd go broke.

I am guessing it was hydrocephalus,,,, Ive had 1 puppy in my lifetime that died from it,,,, he was a few weeks old and another pup was premature, it lived 2 whole months and saw the vet daily.

I don’t know where you are located but i would love to Adopt one of these amazing dog rescues. I have a mini dachshund. I have ramps everywhere ,low furniture just because excitement leads to occasionally jumping off the furniture. I believe in vet care but i also make my little girls food from all organic ingredients. You are much appreciated for the love and care you give to your owners. They are so tiny and yet they are the owners and we are the pets.

Stop supporting tiny dog breeding! Cruel and painful and horrifying! Love to the dogs of course..not humans…this breeding too young and often it awful! Stop
These puppies are born with cleft pallets and other bad deformities. Why are they being allowed to in misery and suffering? On the farm when arnimals are born this way, they are gently put to sleep, and their lives are ended humanely. My mother grew up on a farm and they did not raise disabled animals as it is not fair to the animal--to continue it's suffering. I think personally this is very, very cruel. I worked in the medical field, and a BABY human with a cleft pallet suffers a lot and it is very scary, trying to raise a human to the point where they can have surgery--if this is up inside the mouth where it causes feeding problems. I cannot imagine what it must be like for an animal! While I would not end a baby's existence, I would not torture an animal by trying to raise it to see if it could possibly have surgery later on, causing even more misery.
I faced a decision with my pet too, having to decide and when my pet was in agony, I let my pet go with euthanasia. I have her ashes. I loved her so much, I still have her ashes. She was like my child. So I do love animals. My second pet developed a problem so bad and needed a 3500 dollar operation, and I surrended her to the humane society. One thing the pet was not in pain, two the pet was healthy enough to keep on living. I just did not have the finances to help the pet with her foot. But the vet who adopted her did and promised to care for her the rest of her life. Those were my kids, and I have pictures. I never married never had human babies either. So my statement above is made with careful thought and in a loving way, thinking about the poor animal, and if it were my own pet what would I do.
Just because something is cute, does not give us the right to torture it. Sometimes an overwhelming medical problem in pets--means we need to let it go. That is the most loving thing to do.
