After that, the judge looks very pissed, because she knows she may have to dismiss the case. 5:45:33 ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!! 6:01:30 she admits lying. 6:24:00 the judge starts asking questions of what the hell happened! 7:17:50 confirmed she quit. 7:27:50 dismissed with prejudice.
Sounds like she took the express route to freedom 🚀, but opted for a scenic pit stop first 🚻, proving even dramatic exits need a little restroom interlude! 💼😆

It’s interesting that investigators (and CSTs) can get so sold on their investigation that they’ll defend it like a child even to the extent of hiding information that might cause an innocent person to be convicted.

This may sound weird, but one of the best parts of LawTube as a whole is watching the variety of responses across all the channels, this one included. It’s a fascinating learning experience. I think we've just seen the live open of SNL's show tonight. It'll open with a skit about this prosecutor on the stand, saying she likes Baldwin's acting and politics, being caught lying, she takes out a pistol points it to her head, fires the gun, but it's a blank, and she says "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!"
A skit like that would be comedy gold, although I suspect even SNL would struggle to keep a straight face during the prosecutor's scene! 🎭😂

I read the other prosecuter quit because she thought the state should have dimissed the case voluntarily when they found the not shared evidence. Not that she didn't believe in the public hearing like Morrisey said on the stand.
The other prosecutor quitting might just be the plot twist we didn’t see coming; who knew courtroom drama could rival a soap opera? 🕵️♂️📺🤷♂️

Something has been bothering me about Morrissey‘s actions. She apparently refused to deal with the defense on dismissal or slap slap on the wrist charges. She argued against her own co-counsel to the point forcing her co- counsel to resign. Then she got on the stand after she was told she didn’t have to. In fact she was almost encouraged not to get on the stand. Is it possible for somebody to be that arrogant or did she have some false sense of security because she has done this many times before and has always gotten away with it
Watched the end of stream almost live, going back and watching the first part of the day and I have a question.
Y’all brought up that it appears the prosecution knew about the ammo at their viewing and they didn’t deal with it pretrial and they’re not allowed to do that.

If i was a defence attorney in the USA today (I'm aussie for the record), why would I not, a week before my next cases trial, have 100 random people from across the country to drop off "evidence" to a local pd or sherrif dpt. If the prosecutor doesn't then disclose all 100 of them, mistrial!

All I could think this whole hearing is, “ma’am, it isn’t your place to determine which evidence is or isn’t important to the defense. If it has even a hint of being relevant-disclose that shit!” 😡 😤
One might think disclosing relevant evidence is a no-brainer, but alas, common sense isn’t a requirement for all courtrooms 🤷♂️⚖️😅.
I've just figured out who the prosecutor reminds me of. There was a character on the show Bones called the grave digger and she worked as a state attorney. Her demeanor and hubris are twinning with this prosecutor.
It's almost like TV writers are secretly taking tips from real-life prosecutors; must be the same scriptwriter on retainer. 📺⚖️😉
I'm forced to wonder if this now exposed facts about the ammunition could also have an effect on the case against Hannah the Armour? At least a new trial if not an overturned conviction

This reminds me of the SB where the Patriots were behind the Falcons 28 - 3, until they came back and beat them. What a comeback by the defense team - wow. Day i, the defense looked beatable, Day 2 - untouchable. Too bad a Judge like this Judge wasn't on the Karen Read case. This was an amazing trial to watch. Once I understood the Brady violation and watching Day 2 - it was the right ruling. This has been a fascinating case.

Morrisey is a defense attorney (you can tell by her mannerisms). She's not some life-long prosecutor for the State. So, viewing this as anything other than a win for a wealthy celebrity is almost comical. This wasn't a win for "Justice", "Defendants Rights", the "Legal System", etc. Tell me when this happens with a court appointed defense attorney rather than defense attorney's being paid millions, then I'll be impressed...

I personally believe that Baldwin is guilty of manslaughter, but the prosecution f'ed up so bad there really wasn't any other choice the judge could make. This should have been an open and shut case. If you are handed a gun and you point it at someone you are responsible for anything that happens. Even if the gun goes off without you pulling the trigger (though he probably did pull the trigger), you still chose to point it at someone.
Apparently, Baldwin's legal strategy is just to sit back and let the prosecution do all the hard work-for his defense case 😏⚖️💼.

The prosecutor and investigator, were rude, self-righteous, and only "recalled" things that helped their prosecution, and never anything that hurt their case! The so-called investigator, said she didn't "recall" the man bringing in the evidence, offering to write a statement, and her saying there was no need! They planned to hide the evidence from that moment! They didn't even have him swear that the statement he told them was true!
I've never seen a prosecutor and "investigator" so bent on going after someone, and being rude and condescending towards the defense, except in the Karen Read and Young Thug case, where the judge, in my opinion, is also very biased for the prosecution! The way the "investigator" smirked, when she thought she said a good line, just showed what a cocky, rude, biased prosecution this was. They weren't looking for justice. They were looking to convict Baldwin, for exercising his rights, which she deemed was enough to make him a prick! That's how much the justice system thinks about those who are smart enough to know and exercise their rights! And I don't like Baldwin at all!

They got an early look at the badge cam and didn't immediately tell the defense about it during a motion to dismiss for not turning over evidence...you can't make this up. Judge wanted to come off the bench and throw hands...think of all the time and money wasted.
Must have been a real "Oops, we forgot" moment - I'm sure the judge practiced restraint only because bench-throwing isn't in the judicial handbook 😂📚⚖️.
I wish Karen had this honest judge, rather than the one excluded apparent exculpatory evidence and sustained every objection by the CW. So kept relevent evidence out.
The juror form was confusing as complained by her local lawyer...So apparently trying to not guilty charge 1 and 3, said confusing.
But I hope Judge Bev at least interviews Jurors, in interest of justice.

I could not disagree with dani more. Industry standard is not an excuse. Rule number one. Treat every gun like it's loaded. Hollywood shouldn't get special privileges. Anyone else in this country is responsible for what comes out of the gun you are holding. A freaking cop could tell you a gun isn't loaded, but if you point and shoot it, that bullet is on you. He was 100% responsible, and none of these shenanigans change that. Was it right for the case to be thrown out, yes. Cops and prosecutors threw this case away over things that don't even matter.
