What does "no assertion received" error message means? None of the tech support for company that I worked with can resolve this issue? Please advise. Thank you
As per my knowledge. It is SAML related Question.SAML is an Open standard to authenticate and authorize user data between IDP and SP.
When SP(service provider) tries to authenticate a user it will ask IDP(identity provider) to authenticate the user first. IDP creates an Assertion note about the user authentication and sends it to SP.
I guess there is a scenario where SP doesn't receive an ASSERTION 🤷.
I just started learning OkTa.
So if I make mistake just let it go.😊
It sounds like it means the xml and saml assertion that was configured wasn’t done so correctly. Particularly if you’re using it as part of another app/platform where it is expecting something back from the IDP

so meaning adding a new employee to a group will automatically add him to the group policy specific services for instance vpn etc pp without any need to administrate everything on top - like good old MS-AD without a need for it?
Kind of. Okta takes care of the what's called the triple AAA part (Authentication, Authorisation, Accounting) of AD but it doesn't perform all the functions. For that you would need an MDM solution like Workspace ONE that can send CSPs and other configuration profiles to a Windows 10 device to manage it. In combination though they can get you off of AD and our of the MS environment if you wanted to. Okta and Workspace ONE are both available as SaaS (Software as a Service) products which means they are hosted by Okta\VMware and subscription based so you use what you need and don't need any on-premises server infrastructure for users other than basic internet connectivity.

I am getting aggravated is there a book on this everything okta cloud dashboard I could not get the okta identity as a service for dummies I didn't have a email for business which book can cover all theses topics. I am desperate and having a difficulties learning this
I seriously hate this okta junk. Whenever I try to do anything non-work-related on my browser chrome or watch CZcams I still have to go through and sign into the okta account and verify myself. It takes over everything. It's ridiculous and I feel my phone has this virus called okta that I can't get rid of.

Application Programming Interface. It is generally a way to put data into a system or retrieve data from it. The CZcams app has to communicate with the CZcams API to log you in, serve content, allow you to comment on posts, generate your feed, etc.

CZcams product idea: an option where an AI removes background music and sound effects from the video and normalizes the voice of the speaker so they dont sound like they overdosed on antidepressants.
Okta is nothing but an over-hyped stock during 2021 which came back to reality afterwards. This is simply re-inventing the wheel and I've seen many customers mindlessly plugging in Okta when they can simply federate directly to the Idps like Microsoft, Apple & Google.
