Whether "China look to ease tensions" or not is completely depending on how the US responds after Blinker leave China. What do you expect any result if one side is "yelling" for settlements but keep screwing up the negotiation and letting the other side down?

I only wish more people would take the time to learn about China. These are really extraordinary times we live in. With all the social media platforms available, yet the west knows so little of China's incredible achievements in the past few decades is simply sad.

China's achievements are not in question. It's the cost of those achievements that's worrying: no elections, no freedom of speech, no arm's length judiciary and dictatorial government that silences criticism.

The globe is trying to engineer a soft landing but that means different things to different economists.
As one I have my own interpretation as a Canadian. I think countries should pull their tentacles out of the greenback so that America does not drag the rest of us down with them.
Instead a slow slide to oblivion for some rather than a quick slide to oblivion is what we are hoping to achieve. And of course as part of that get the tents off our front lawns and the needles off our sidewalks.
We at the top of the food chain will just roll with the punches and instead of getting up at 10am or 11am will try for 8am to be at work by 9am. If I was a politician I would not be able to say that out loud.
India however and countries with a low GDP per capita will benefit from BRICS.
The level playing field allows them to buy and sell on their level since you can't play poker against Bill Gates he will raise you till you fold and he represents all first world companies and their financiers.
So then as time goes on they will sell us moderately priced quality goods. We hope.

Technically the CCP was a rebellion against the ROC and since they never managed to capture Taiwan, it is not a province of China. Now that 80 years have passed with Taiwan existing in a de facto self governing state, it is actually laughable to imagine it is actually a province of China that they have zero control over without first invading. Maybe it will be a province of China some day, but that will depend on how history plays out.
