I would like to add, while I totally am cool and understanding that is not everyone’s style, they did really try to change their style with Misery, people shit on them hard for an album that reflected them as people to their core.
They have gone back to their older style knowing it is what works for them and their scene. However, I have loved everything they do except their first album, because of the message they convey, they stir up feelings that not many things can, I will always hold their music dear to my heart due to knowing how much it has helped myself and many other people from all walks of life.
Great band, great message, heartbreaking story.

100%. TAA has that special place in my life like no other band will ever have. It's just so personal for so many reasons, and I agree with you, their last albums have been something completely different from what they have done in the past, and a lot of people threw shit at them for making such a big shift. Either way, this is one of those rare bands that I listen to and love every single song they put out. There's just something in their melody, and in their voices so emotional that grabs me like nothing else. Much love🖤, and can't wait to see these guys live again. (for the 5th time :))))))

Yes I totally agree, BUT you need to add that Misery to this day is one of their most listened to albums (at least on spotify). So while they definitely got a ton of negative backlash for this album by a lot of long term fans, it made their music more accessible to others and probably gave them a ton of new fans. I would love to see something similar from them again.

Really liked this tune, you can never fault the band for its musical content, they're always badass, and what I liked about this tune, it's heavy in certain parts when it needs to be, and it's melodic when it needs to be, this tune to me, tells a story, i know most of TAA tunes do, but this one is more hard hitting i think, and, side note, I think this is the first TAA tune I've listened to, that doesn't mention the ocean lol keep up the good work lads, much love from Stoke On Trent, England

Great reaction! I find myself really liking this band due mainly to their lyrics and vocal deliveries. Most other bands I enjoy musically and lyrically about the same. I've been following Amity Affliction for a while and I agree that they started to sound repetitive in their structure, but, like you both, I have so much respect for the messages they portray in their songs. They express so much emotion by talking about their experiences and that's what I think I love the most about them. This Could Be Heartbreak really wasn't anything special musically either, but this song felt just different enough that it was a bit refreshing to hear even the smallest change in song tone, hence why I figured you guys might like it a little more than their past songs. I didn't know Johnny had met SK and that's pretty awesome. It really sucks that SK felt there was no more hope and it saddens me that we had to lose someone so well loved. I came to like TAA because of their formula, so it's very disappointing when they try and change it too much - as with any band. You could end up alienate existing fans who came to your band because they expect a certain thing, I listen to Amity because I expect this type of subject matter, this type of melody, these breakdowns, these types of screams and cleans... of course, a band can make whatever music they like and who am I to say they can't - but they shouldn't be confused if existing fans say they no longer like their new songs anymore - likewise, they may make new fans - that's the risk they run.
That being said, this was more a return to form for TAA AND had some progression in it too so hoping it may appease old and new fans.

Youngbloods was great but been downhill since that album. This song is decent!
