Nice to sea the ever popular mirrors on the drink I'm contemplating buying a small dinghy suitable for cruising single handed at the moment it's a toss up between a Mirror and one particular Heron I've found . Believe it or not it's got a sail number of 17 built in 1951 but sound as a pound just needs stripping and re varnishing. However the Mirrors are a lighter boat to man handle and your vids show their suitability (not seen much on Heron cruising) so a bit of a dilemma
I previously had the Crewsaver auto gas lifejacket with hydrostatic inflation. But when I came to re-arm it I could not obtain a seal. So I decided it was not suitable for me to re-arm at sea in a dinghy, and bought a Crewsaver "Spiral" 100N foam lifejacket. I changed the straps for those from the old lifejacket, which had a harness and D-ring. I notice several 100N foam lifejackets on the market now but seemingly without a D-ring. I fell in the sea at Croubh Marina, and the lifejacket held my face well up and clear of the water throughout.

Have a look at the buoyancy and stowage arrangements.
That looks like a good lifejacket youre wearing. Can you tell me what make it is?

Thanks, good to hear. I especially like that it comes with a crutch strap, that should stop it floating up around ones ears.
