Not only that, he basically said that Japanese Indie devs are frequent, however there isn't really many Japanese indie devs. Oh, and for what Gamer0981 said, he DID do one for the computer, two infact. He did a couple on the MSX Home Computer.

Kojima didn't wait for the PSOne, he was just too late when he was planning on releasing 'Metal Gear Solid' for 3DO.
Don't forget that when MGS4 came out the PS3's capabilities blew every single commercially available PC out of the water.

Because PCs vary greatly, some people still own PCs running XP with not much RAM and low grade graphics cards, while there are 'pro gamers' with water-cooled, overclocked PCs which have 32 GB of RAM and the latest AMD Graphics cards. But a PS3 is like any other PS3, the only difference is HDD space and backwards compatibility.

@BillyCauseyjr Actually the only thing the Saturn button lacks is a Select button and vibration, I'm guessing the reason why it didn't get a port was because it was pretty much dead by the time MGS1 was released.

@TheKingOfToast XBOX definitely had a 64-bit processor. All 3 did. It would have been a huge step backwards considering this was the generation SUCCEEDING the N*64*

A number of reasons, while the game would have looked just as nice and ran just as good on pc, the franchise has been for the most part on PlayStation, i am aware that there are ports for 1 and 2 on PC, but people remember them to be on PlayStation systems, Sony probably had a deal with them as well to make the game on ps3.

Hideo Kojima stated in an interview that he is not 'Loyal' to a system or a company, he just wants maximum potential for his game, thus Ps3 being the logical choice for mgs4 because the graphics capabilities are higher than that of xbox360 , and the same has been true since mgs1, playstation over n64 and ps2 over gamecube and xbox
because at the time when metal gear solid came out it was so cheap to produce games for the play station and the inter-net would have been very young and the whole pc community wouldnt have been as strong as it is now.

Because Kojima developes for dedicated gaming machines, along with a bunch of other Japanese developers that aren't indie developers.
@cyborg00000 original Metal Gear was for MSX a Japanese computer, it was ported on NES and it sucked.

How did that guys comment get number 1? Hideo Kojima said he IS loyal to his playstation fans and partners. The development team said on G4 that the game was VERY possible on 360. It would just need a bunch of CD's obviously. But it is clearly possible. I mean, if you played MGS4, and saw all the Sony references, you would obviously know he was loyal and bashing the 360, with the "Wait, this is on blu-ray, you don't need to insert the next CD. Keep on playing." jokes. C'mon dude. Know your shit

by the time mgs5 took place snake would be dead by then, remember he only had a year to live at the beginning of the game, not counting all that happened in mgs4, so he wouldnt be in an electric chair, hed be in a coffin
