What makes this channel so good (and what makes Artosis and Tasteless such incredible commentors), I think come down to two things: the excitement at what I'm seeing is genuine; and I'm always walking away learning something. That second part, I think, so many casters forget about, but it makes continued and subsequent watching so much more personally invested. I can take something I've learned from one match/cast, and it's brought into another.
I have recently (due to work and other responsibilities) have resumed playing all of the races. I watch all of these with my coffee. This has been and will continue to be my childhood, and just an awesome game. Its great being able to learn something every, single, time.
i watch nearly every video on this channel, it's my routine when i have breakfast. it's really refreshing to watch youtube content that is so pure and focused and minimally edited. it's just broodwar with quality commentary. that's all it is and all it needs. i also really appreciate there's no intro on these videos, too many youtubers and podcasters put intros with loud music and sound effects so i need to turn the volume way down at the start. with your videos i can just click and enjoy and i don't need to skip anything.

In the top left corner of the screen you can see upgrades and so forth, but I would love to be able to track what upgrades have already been researched, or at least put a number next to for example the marine weapon upgrade that indicates if it's weapon upgrade level 1, 2 or 3

Thanks arty all the little anecdotes you make about the game shows your knowledge and love for the game. Your casts have made me play quite a lot of ladder over the past few months on both bw and sc2 and I'm loving it. ❤

Hey Artosis, I watch your casts basically daily as well :). Only exceptions are actually the larger tourneys - I don't have time to get invested in them so I leave it at 1 game per day of casts roughly.
That recall at 12:30 was so lucky and effective. He killed 12 scvs instantly cuz of 2 mine hits. Really well done to send 1 or 2 zealots out at a time to take the mine hits instead of ssending the whole army. Free deserved to win that game.
The terran could literally float another engineering bay to the left of that base since the dragoons could not reach it and practically see any incoming Arbiters while also carefully placing supply depots and goliaths with range upgraded to obstruct the Arbiter from using Mass Recall but i guess that it is easier to complain about the protoss race and call it a day. We were apes back in the stone ages and it seems that we missed those times.

I feel like Arbiter has its place in a bo3/5/7 as a mix up. Like in fighting games where you have better and worse option to approach an opponent, and you sometimes take the worse one, because your opponent is not expecting it, and makes it then a good option again. Also i feel like in late game it would be so strong to just throw in an arbiter with recall after not seeing one the first 30-40 minutes. But not sure if that would be then to expensive
I don't agree that no number of turrets will stop a recall. The turret themselves will block the landing, and the arbiter will be dead before going past them. But it's very likely that it's not worth the money in most situations. Maan, I really miss that one Flash game where he literally made over 100 turrets. And he won because of that. But I don't remember the other details, like vs whom he played, so I can find it again.

I was watching the probe at 2:30, it looked like it was waiting for the marine to come out of the barracks. Without the scv to help, can a probe kill a spawning marine? Or just get an extra hit than normal?

Watching you and arty casts for years. Sense SCBW ReMastered. Grats on Rank S. You look like a muppet when you are playing seriously. I have a serious question for SCBW for YEARS: Has anyone experimented with off center CCs... like 1 tile farther away so turrets can be placed. Mine Distance is farther but SCV mining likely isn't slowed down as much as you would think as SCV's should double up 2 SCV's to 1 Patch like SC2. Also allows room for bunker in some places. Some of those maps vs Zerg muta I been like "man... just do SOMETHING to get defense down there... to hell will the lost minining."
stasis is better because you can kill the remaining units. Recall can also lose you a game, so when it works it might look better, but you have to average out the successful and the failure recalls.
Artosis, please explain why nobody uses Lockdown. For roughly 300/400 (Covert Ops + LD + 2Ghosts), both the main and 3rd would be Recall Proof. If they lean on Stasis into the mid-late game, LD affects their pushes as well. Literally WHY. Yes it takes time and resources, but if you know Protoss is going to try and end you with a recall, is 300/400 not worth guaranteeing your survival (assuming you see it coming ofc)?
I'm curious as well. I really hope somebody decides to try to make the meta go forward. Even if it will show us why ghosts aren't used. Probably if you search 7-15 years ago, you'll find games with examples why ghosts are still not worthy, but who's gonna do that ? Plus, with the new maps + evolved meta, who knows, maybe ghosts CAN be made viable in situations like these.
It is called being greedy and stupid since most of the terrans want to push and win with mass ground units that do not require any skill whatsoever unlike Lockdown.

Recall was my favorite spell since forever, always loved the visual effect, so badass. Way cooler than the recall effects in Starcraft 2.

A day late but I watch these. It’s really tempted me to start trying to play ladder myself for the first time.

Arbiter is once of my fav plays recall a second arbiter with the initial group and do the second recall for a win
