I been rocking out since 2017, and I really didn't progress to where I am now until I started watching your lessons and practicing daily as I still do today. I have the SZ2. Wanting to get the SRT or older CDJs though to get the club Standard control feel. I'm so used to the SZ set up, it makes its hard to transition to CDJ when I'm putting on work on the in house setup CDJs at the places I do gigs

I use green screen and other effects it came out pretty cool. I actually interviewed Tenacious from the UK when they came to the states at the beginning of the month.

I use DDJ 1000 too but with traktor pro 3. By default should use rekordbox, i have hard time to switch from traktor to rekordbox.

i bought denon mc7000, for 1/3 price of 1000SRT, more functional than 1000

@@chrisriv4226 Yep! I bought used (but in perfect condition) for $500, and compared with friends' DDJ-1000SRT. Mine have more functions (I have 3 effects for each deck, and can remap for which deck using onboard buttons; have split cue; have +2 modes on pads - dedicated mode for Flip and velocity sampler; stop time knob; and more physical buttons which also can be remapped). Only lcd display inside jog I don't have, but frankly speaking, who uses it? Needle position I know because of leds around the jog

hello Carlo nice video audio, when I want to see a DJ who mixes well I put your videoâ€. I noticed that the tracks, even if they had the same time on the serato dj grid, visually seemed to show that one runs faster than the other, the same thing happens to me on the Numark Dashboard, what could it depend on?
Hmmm have you tried analyzing your songs first before mixing them in? Sorry if this doesnât help?

He has done videos about this. Look at this way. You don't want the eq knobs on both sides to be up at 12 o clock. When bringing in a new song to a mix. A common practice is to cut the bass of the incoming song. Or slowly cut the bass of the current song as you bring the new song up into the mix. You have high mid and low eqs. Your mids are where vocals live so typically you don't need to fiddle these too much, just don't mix vocals over vocals. If both songs are presenting vocals, you need to mix in when one track has no vocals and one does... or neither do. The highs are your shares and hi hats. If either song has really loud snare hits or hats, you will also want to tweak these up top during a mix. Essentially preventing clashing bass and high sounds while mixing. As you bring one song in. You begin cutting elements of the old song. And that is to make sonic room for the new song. You manipulate the frequencies and thats what gives you the seamless transfer from song to song without it ever feeling like a song ever ended.

Carlo, I've learned a lot from you but I feel I should tell you that your gear is a little too....subdued. Maybe you could add a little glitz to your equipment?
Do you need something like the Solid State Logic SSL 2+ USB Audio Interface combined with the DDJ to stream live sets like this on CZcams? Or what all equipment does one need?
I haven't really live streamed any sets here to CZcams, but you'll most likely need an iRig for that.

Hey DJ Carlo, sick mix, can I ask why this deck often times makes the 2nd bar of the yellow sound level disappears while the 3rd bar is lit? EX: 14:33
Not totally sure, but I'm guessing the top light bar stays lit just to give a prolonged visual on your peaks, while the actual audio volume fluctuates from that peak to below the second yellow bar. Barely thought about that while editing, so good eye!

I think it has something to do with production delays the world experienced during corona, closed factories and ports and high transportation costs. Maybe same issue we had/have with the ps5..

@djcarlo i dont know the name of the technique but do u have a tutorial that explain how you do the " set same track on both deck with a second of difference between and you crossfade between both to give like a cool repeat effect.. i would like to learn this technique when ill start djing
