- After spending all the days in Akwa Ibom, after all the drive, I can say this state has one of the best roads in the nation. The roads may not be wide and fancy, but it does not have potholes everywhere. Most states have the best roads in the capital city while the outskirts of the city are left untarred.

I totally agree
I think one of the reasons Uyo has better road network than other states is continuity in government. From Attah to Udom, if you notice it is same contractor that builds all the roads so it it easy so maintain standard. In my state, every new gov. brings his own contractor so it is one step forward, 9 steps backwards.
What they are doing is good. And a shame for other states who can't maintain continuity.

Just look at those roads, the roadside trees, the Greens, the open spaces, the available land and the tranquility of the city. This is a good hideout from the hustle and bustle of Lagos. It's funny that Lagosians act like they're living in the heavenly part of Nigeria when you have a better place like Uyo, Akwa-ibom.
Big W, you've covered this state from every possible angle, every possible view, every possible way, and every possible places that could possibly encourage anyone who's interested to venture out there and see what the state is like.
I wonder why Akwa-ibom got this much attention than any other state, but hey! It works for me......I've always known that the infrastructure is amazing and I have considered visiting the city for possible relocation.
The only thing missing now is for the state leaders to go abroad and invite foreign investors to come and invest and create jobs for the people of Akwa-ibom.
