    Great video buddy!
I am slowly building my mini tools pouch as well!
In my opinion you are missing a couple small items, as you said, a lighter, yes.
    probably I'd add as well:
    - Fresnel magnifying card.
    - Gorilla tape / electrical tape.
    - Super glue
    - sharpie marker / pen

Lot of capability in that kit. I like the vice grip saw idea. I saw a guy using a leatherman "crunch" doing the same thing... except he filed two lengthwise grooves in the jaws so the saw gets held a little more secure. Good video, thanks

Great video, turns out I have nearly all the same tools in my edc(except the prybar) with the wera mini screwdriver and the rachet you can get both those tools and the extra bits all within the tool check plus mini kit. It's my go to, and it has sockets on it as well so it fixes your issue of not having sockets! Hope this helps and thank you for taking the time to share your videos

Always fun putting together kits like this, but honestly I think you get more functionality out of a couple of 'proper' size tools that'll take up the same space. I'd wager something like the 6in snap on flank jaw pliers and the PB Swiss ratcheting driver with the 10 bits in the handle would be a more functional compact set for less space and probably less money.

Hi.I'd replace the wera bit holder and the little ratchet by a ratcheting t-handle bit holder (wera or other more skinny) - it's flater and you can use bits and nuts with adpa... actually you can applie more torque and in a more convenient way than with a screwdriver.

Maybe switch the micra to something like the wave, charge, or victorinox spirit for a good needle nose function along with all the smaller tools you get from a multitool for good efficiency. The klein electricians scissors is very edc friendly, not too expensive, and can punch well above its weight class. I personally recommend the 2100-7 version. I personally like the knipex pliers wrench over an adjustable wrench. A small knife sharpener like the cheap victorinox ceramic pen or the faulkniven CC4, a few pieces of sandpaper. a fresnel lens to zoom into small things and create fire, some bankline or paracord, the duratech folding utility knife or the milwaukee fastback 6 in 1.

As nice as that little Wera ratchet driver is, I would go with a Bahco SL25 1/4" socket set as the basis for a mini tool kit..They are great quality and reasonably priced for what you get...The only problem is whether to leave them in the hard case they come in or use a pouch like you have done... I have a similar 4" crescent wrench, but really feel a 5" (or 125mm) version would be perfect for this sort of kit, but so far have not been able to find one...

I have the exact same Wera bit driver handle, and the Knipex Cobra XS, but these were bought for pocket EDC together with a SAK or folder, rather than for a pouch tool kit. If it hadn't been for that consideration where I really want the smallest good tools possible, then I would probably have opted for the Cobra 5inch and a larger Wera Kraftform Kompakt or even another brand. As it is I'm too much of a cheapskate for the time being at least to go for an intermediate size tool pouch between pocket carry and actual toolbox tools. My pouch is really a bike repair kit with some extra tools, including a Leatherman, but I will consider getting a 4 or 5 inch adjustable (crescent) wrench to add to that. That has to be a vintage Bahco, an OG from the 70s with ''Made in Sweden'' stamped on it so I know it's the real deal. I have the 8'' version in my toolbox and it's a beast, almost like new, zero wear and tear.

I have a part 2 coming soon that’s one size up! It includes the 7 1/4 Knipex and they’re perfect! And if that little kit is all you need, no need to go bigger? Right?? Thanks for the awesome comment and taking the time to post it! Cheers!

    • @simonh6371
      @simonh6371 Před 11 měsíci +1

@@EDCNC-YT Actually I agree. Like me you have found that those 2 tools are actually very capable. I can add whopping great extenders and longer bits to that Wera handle and it does a great job, works as a toolbox screwdriver for jobs at home. Also the small size means you can use it as a stubby without extenders and using small bits. Very versatile.
The Cobra XS are way more capable than they look because of the design and the way they transfer forces, people look at them and say they are toys and can't get much leverage but don't realise that they lock on to an object so you don't need to squeeze and can apply an immense amount of force to the upper handle and turn the object. Appearances can be deceptive. Also people don't realise how big those jaws can open and because of the teeth they'll still hold on even when the jaws are opened beyond parallel. They open to about 23mm with jaws parallel, so just under an inch; my 8 inch water pump pliers only open to 28mm parallel, just over an inch.
Thanks for your reply and now you've said you are doing a part 2 I'm going to subscribe. Cheers & greetings from London UK.

You showed what you use, explained why, gave some recommendations and best of all, you provided links lol. This is my first time seeing you but if I see more content like this, definitely a sub!
I have a couple of minor recommendations.
As @dlajb pointed out, some super glue and a variety of tapes would be helpful. To help save some space in my pack. I bought single use Superglue packs, they're nifty but I also cut blank credit cards up, and I wrapped electrical tape around a piece and some duct tape around another. My current EDC tool pouch is an old leather camera case that has a belt clip on it, so you'll definitely have room for anything I do and more xD.
3 cotten swabs broken in half, inside of a piece of unused heat shrink tube.
Isopropyl alcohol in a super tiny spray bottle (like perfume sample size)
A 4mm adapter for my 6mm bit driver so I can use my screw driver for micro bits as well. I also carry a set of micro bits and these are all inside of a small Altoids tin, in addition to a glasses screwdriver/screws.
A titanium bit driver With a set of bits as well
    Knipex 4in plumping pliers
    Tailors measuring tape
    A pair of rubber gloves
    A stick of hot glue
    A pair of tweezers
    An olight i1r2
And on the belt clip since I never use it, I have 20ft of waxed cord tucked under two ranger bands.
This is a kit I keep in my bag that comes with me when I'm leaving my house for more than a few hours. It's built to compliment my kit that's in my pocket already. (Vic. Huntsman, space pen, mini Bic, a couple of hair ties, an olight i3t w/extra battery, hoto 24in1 precision screwdriver. (I take apart a lot of electronics lol) and lastly my cart pen and inhaler lmao
