Thanks for reacting to my suggestion!😃Glad you enjoyed it. This song was actually made when Chris Stapleton used to be part of a Southern Rock band (before he went Solo). He sounds even better Live! I’d definitely recommend reacting to his live Austin City Limits Performance of “I Was Wrong”. Lots of cool guitar playing in that one. His genre is country, but many people say he’s got a little blues in his songs as well.

Check out the rest of the album. While this was a ballad. The rest of it is more of a Rock/Blues/Southern kinda of album. This is Chris Stapleton’s Rock project. Our drummer really relates to this song.....really blindsided in a relationship.....anyway, good one. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

I did like this song as well. You're right that it doesn't pull on the heartstring Sporto but still the melody and vocals were quite outstanding.

That harmonics you are hearing is very similar to a guitar player out of Texas named David Grissom, who started using this back in the late 1980's, and heard quite a bit with a band called "Storyville" Which featured the SRV rhythm section, after Stevie Ray died.....Give listen too.....Don't make me cry - Storyville "live version" posted by MADMISSION
