My rewind knob doesn't move and I did everything correct. The weird thing is that I have a Minolta X300 with the same problem and both happened same day. Am I loading the film wrong or some shit?
I have an OM10, that always worked, but remained off and not used for many years .. I changed the batteries after many years, but when I switch on, nothings happens. Battery not detected .. no oxidation and batteries are new. Mechanical parts are ok. Any idea or suggestions? Thanks
Hello everyone, I wanted to buy this camera as my 1st slr (im new to photography and wanted to learn) i totally understand how to load and unload the film. But one thing that bothers me is how many times do you have to press the shutter and feel confident that the next press is when the counter starts? Please help me! I dont wanna waste my film while doing the test! This may be a silly question but I really wanna know! Thank you in advance!!
Hi, might be a long shot now but.. most film cameras have a counter on the top. Once you put the film in wind it and shoot till you get to 1 on the counter :)
Yeah this means the film is not attached to the sprockets. Load the film and before you close the door, make sure the tiny holes on the film are attached to the sprockets (usually two).
@@FloppyITA Its in near mint condition, it came in a brief case along with a flash attachment and a long lens and short lens. Also there was a Polaroid camera inside also near mint condition. I think i got a good deal
Assuming you know now as it’s been a month but you advance any camera until it says one on the counter, some 35mm point and shoots will automatically do this for you tho
Somehow you covered everything in 2 minutes. Thanks my guy!
I've watched your video MANY times. Realllllly appreciate the clear directions. THANK YOU
This man is the definition of concise
Great video, found two OM10 cameras, not used 35mm for many years, this video stopped me selling the cameras. Thanks.
This was exactly what i needed. Suuuuuper helpful! Thanks!
Thanks man, I now know how the light meter works
Thank you!! You answered many of my questions!! 🎞️
How do you change batteries????
On the bottom of the camera, opposite to the advance, there is a port that you can open with a coin that has the batteries
hi if my check battery doesn’t have the beep sound , do I have to change my battery ?

How do I take pictures?
My mom had that from a friend in Taiwan in 1993, the curtain broke though and it ran out of film.
brilliant
Thanks
What kind of film do I buy and where,
Where does the battery goo
Where did you buy the adapter?
hello, what does exactly manual adapter!? i dont have it! i can use it without it/?
it allows you to set the shutter speed manually, if you don't have it you can still use it with the automatic shutter with the built in light meter.
My rewind knob doesn’t rotate when I load and shoot the camera, is this a massive issue or should it be alright
Mine doesn’t either! Was it alright?
@@Rhianz15 That means you're possibly shooting blanks. The roll must rotate each time you shoot with the camera to advance the film.
Can you put a link in the description for where I can buy the batteries and film I just purchased this camera off a friend and want to start using ut
the website filmcamera store has the 35mm film you need and the batteries are LR-44 batteries you can get off amazon :)
Does anyone know where you can buy the manual adapters separately?
On eBay!
Holy shit read the manual. Load into take up spool and then wind once to make sure it’s winding correctly. Close and then wind until it reaches 1
Just bought this camera and my rewind thing doesn’t move when I advance the film.. is that bad?

how old is this camera and how much is it worth. I bought this at a garage sale about an hour ago for $60.
I think it's from 1979 or something, mine is from 1987 or 1989. The price is fair if the camera is in good conditions, it's a good starting camera.

@@zoomgames123 yes definitely it is, which lens do you have? Like the stock 55mm (or 50 I can't remember) and a 75-150mm zoom lens?
@@FloppyITA Its a 35-70 mm and a 50 mm
@@zoomgames123 Definitely a steal for that price, most online sell for around 60-120ish depending on condition.
do you need batteries for the advance lever to work because i bought a used om10 off ebay and i’m hoping it just needs batteries
How many times do I advance it?

Do not ever store batteries in empty film canister.
My asa won’t turn what do I do?
Wave Hallow yeah I figured it out
@@Strangemodi how did you figure it out?
Daan Paquay you have to pull the knob up and then rotate it
you wasted a lot of frames loading the film like that
Why talk like that at the end of every sentence?
