  • Very impressed with the quality and attention to detail of this kit. It was certainly well beyond what I was expecting just based on the price. And the pink box being made to donate 10% to Breast Cancer research is so cool IMO.

    Can I use this for my f30 I’m single turbo n I have to have the ac all on one side to hit the EKP module lol

      nice lol. I just checked their site and I dont see the F30 listed unfortunately. However, I see they have a universal setup that includes fan, heatsinks, and harness (see arcterminator.com/products/ekp-active-cooling-diy-kit?variant=42420667449498). Take a look and email them if you have any questions! They got back to me pretty quickly when I had a question.

    How do you know if the fan is still running after 8 mins? Bcz When I went to my car the next day, and opened the trunk.. (I did not unlock the actual car door) the fan was STILL running! Does this mean it was on overnight, or does opening ANYthing activate that circuit??
    I don’t want the fan to fail by ruining it 24/7

    • @turbospool
      @turbospool  Před 11 měsíci +1

      So if you wire it to any of the cig lighter fuses, those circuits are all on timers varying from 5-11min. What will cause the cig lighters’ circuits to power up is any what BMW considers Wake Up Events. So stuff like opening any door (including hood and trunk), sending any command from your key fob (lock/ unlock, pop tue trunk), and even say if you have Comfort Access it’s possible the car will pick up the key near by and “Wake up the car” in preparation of you getting in. Any of those things will cause wake up events and all cig lighters will turn back on. As long as there isn’t any following wake up event, they should turn off at the end of their respective set timer.
      In odd situations Ive seen aftermarket equipment causing wake up/ system to never fully go to sleep. A JB4or a wifi dongle for example that’s left plugged into the OBD2 overnight will cause the DME to not go to sleep, so your cig lighters won’t turn off (this is typically indicated with a “low battery draw” message on the iDrive the following morning.

      @@turbospool legend! Thankyou. I guess it does turn off and I was just being paranoid thinking it ran 24/7. & I have no mods that would keep the cig lighters powered up all day. I connected it to fuse 147. Works great. Thanks for recommending this !

    Great video just wondering does the walbro 450 lpfp you installed run full e85 in your car? Or is it only good for e50? I was going to get one but just wanted your opinion if the 450 is fine or should I go 525? And will this module your putting in support the walbro 525?

    • @turbospool
      @turbospool  Před rokem +2

      Thanks DJ! The pump is rated for E85 so thats no problem. I used to run E50 simply based on my tuner’s request based on my setup at the time. But whether the 450 or the 525 is right for you totally depends on how much flow you will need for your build. On stock PWG turbo running E50 the 450 was plenty enough. I now have the Shuenk N55+ turbo BUT im tuning on straight 91 at the moment before going for a flexfuel tune. So I cant say from first hand experience, but there are a lot of people running these pumps on Pure stage 2 turbos with no issue

    Is it not possible to connect it to a switch? Bcs it is unnecessary to have it running when car is in wake up mode, but you aren't driving..maybe loading, or like just sitting etc

    • @turbospool
      @turbospool  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes of course it’s possible. Thats totally your choice if you want to go that route. Just depends on how comfortable you are with doing wiring and running wires to the interior from the trunk.
