@@RoadtripDave Thank You for making the video, I used to go with My family when I was like 10, best time I had in My life. I love how people still have fun there! I haven’t been able to go since Covid and the recent Scaro-winds incident but that Park will always have a place in My heart.

Hi Frank! Thanks very much for watching! If you ever come up to Charlotte, NC, I highly recommend visiting this park. There are definitely unique experiences… Fun fact: Carowinds was built by a businessman who was inspired after visiting Disneyland!
This is Paramount’s Carowinds
Well, some of Paramount’s influences are still there, but it is now owned and operated by Cedar Fair, which, in my opinion, has done a great job of making this park so much better.

I completely understand that! Sometimes I think they change things too quickly, preventing anyone from enjoying something for a longer period of time.
Not Paramount at all...been gone
Loved this park in the 80s...now a tourist trap...over priced and full of overweight New Yorkers complaining about everything...lol
Carowinds definitely had a special kind of magic in the 80s, but I believe that’s because it’s Disneyland-inspired roots we’re still there. They still had the ferry boat and the train! when Paramount took over, I think that the quality of the theming in the park in general went downhill. It’s now definitely a better park than it was in the early 2000s, and that’s because Cedar Fair is really invested in it.
