EXO used to be a 12 membered group that had 2 sub groups :
EXO-K (K standing for Korean) was the group that sang in Korean & promoted in Korea.
The members were the first 6 to appear when the music started
(Suho, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, D.O, Kai & Sehun)
EXO-M (M standing for Mandarin Chinese) was the group that sang in Mandarin & promoted in China. The members of that group appeared during the second part of the song
(Xiumin, Luhan, Kris, Lay, Chen & Tao)
EXO currently has 9 members because 3/4 of the Chinese members in the group left (Kris, Luhan & Tao) due to mistreatment & the last Chinese member (Lay) is currently not promoting with them due to political stuff but he’s still a member of the group as of today.
EXO-K & EXO-M sang the same songs but in different languages & they are one group. The sub groups are now gone and now they only promote as one EXO (except for EXO-CBX but that’s a different story)
The “maze” they walk through & the symbol at the end was the symbol for “EXO” for that album. If you actually look close enough the symbol says “EXO”. They change up their symbol every album but the symbol will always read “EXO”

I don’t know why such an old song was suggested but you should react to MONSTER, KOKOBOP or LOTTO too
That maze symbol at the end was actually their old logo (the logo changes each era/comeback). If you look closely you can see the shape of the letters, E X O. Also, the 'k' was there bc exo used to be divided into subgroups to represent the native language and ethnicities of the members. Exo k would do songs in Korean and exo m would do songs in mandarin. Basically for every song there would be an exo k version (in korean) and an exo m version (in mandarin). In the begining exo had 12 members (this mv had all 12 members) but over the years, members started to leave. Exo currently has 9 members (8 active, 1 inactive in the group but active solo). Exo also has another sub unit called exo-cbx which includes members Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin. They are still active in the group as a whole but they also come out with their own music as their own mini group. It's kinda confusing but I hope that makes sense.

First subgroup EXO-K, leader Suho became the 1st member(trainee) of SM Entertainment in 2006; the following year 2nd member Kai by his father’s encouragement auditioned and got accepted; same time Chanyeol won 2nd place in Smart Model Contest and Sehun had to go through four auditions for 2 years before getting accepted. The subgroup’s last two members(trainees) to go into EXO-K during 2010/2011 were D.O and Baekhyun. EXO-M subgroup leader Kris went through Canada’s Global Auditioning around the same time Lay went for an audition at Changsha; both subsequently moved to South Korea, while Xiumin goes with a friend to audition winning 2nd place he became the next member(not including the friend) to join EXO-M in 2008. Within two years LuHan and Tao were scouted into SM by one of the company representatives in Myeong-dong and during a talent show, the last member to join the subgroup EXO-M was Chen in 2011.
December 2011 they had finalized their group name to EXO; which is short for “EXOplanet”. Their first tv performance was at SBS’s Annual Gayo Daejun Event on Dec 29th. They’ve won many awards and nominations for their variety of creative music genres, appearance, and solo projects.
