- The family of Randon Lee confirms he was shot and killed in Prichard Friday night. Lee is the son of popular TikTok user @shoelover99, who is known as Mama Tot. Her real name is Ophelia Nichols.

Lord have mercy, I’ve never heard of this woman until now but the amount of pure, UNADULTERATED LOVE everyone is showing her just for being who she is.
This is not about me but I lost my fiancé to COVID when the pandemic first began…he was only 43, no health issues and I still two whole years later feel like myself and everyone that loved him dearly was ROBBED. But THIS……my Lord I just cannot imagine.
My heart aches for this loving mama and all those that clearly saw this young man as a light in their lives. My only tidbit of information that I hope and pray can be helpful is to allow her space and privacy to grieve but also continue to reach out to her and let her know the impact she’s had on your life. Let her know that because of all the strife she’s overcome that she now has a support system/family in the thousands of lives she’s touched.
Remind her that she is still valuable and that she has purpose and that even though most will never be able to relate to the raw and relentless grief that comes with something like murder and suicide. It will never make sense. It will never be made right. Grief is a reflection of the you depth and breadth of love we have for those whose love becomes a part of who we are. There is no getting over it, it will never go away…but at least in my case slowly but surely we find ways to claw our way back to at the very least having reasons to smile and find gratitude in things most take for granted until it happens to them, even then you wouldn’t wish the hell of a having a hole in your heart where your loved one resided on the worst of your enemies.
I am so grateful she’s made a difference in your life. Continue to spread that love and gratitude everywhere you go, you have a beautiful soul….the world needs that more than ever so please never stop fighting as you never know who you may be a Mama Tot to….peace and blessings. 🙏🏽🤍

A suspect got into his car, and police said he is seen on surveillance video getting out of Lee’s car holding a gun. The suspect drove off in a black vehicle. Prichard police said he sold marijuana to the two suspects in the past. Police are not releasing names of those suspects at this time.

My heart goes out to her and her family. I’m a mother of 2 (16 y/o daughter & 10 y/o son) who lost my 18 y/o cousin in ‘97 when I was 16 y/o. She was kidnapped, raped, murdered & dumped in a ravine by a 30 y/o married monster with 4 young children…an absolute monster….that she never even met but that we found out later thanks to video surveillance of the retail store she worked in that he had been stalking her the several prior days to her murder. Thankfully, her body was found 4 days later, and then this psycho’s own brother finally went to the police just over a month later to turn himself in (as an accomplice after the fact) and every detail he had on how his brother committed each and every crime against my innocent cousin. The brother got a plea deal for testifying against the monster. The monster was convicted on all counts and sentenced to death in 2000. Unfortunately, the Supreme Court found him to be “mentally incompetent for execution” in 2014, and unless he is deemed to be competent, he will remain on death row for the rest of his miserable life. Might I add, he has a freakin pet cat there. I was never one for the death penalty, but after my cousin was taken from this world so viciously, I am now a believer in it. She never got to graduate college, get married, have a career, or start her own family. It will be 25 years this September 27 that Kelly was taken from us in the most horrific way. My aunt has become a shell of a person and my younger cousin lost his only sibling. Our entire family has been forever changed. We are so protective now. We don’t take chances now after living through the loss of our loved one. She had just graduated high school and turned 18 y/o not even 5 months prior. She was practically a child still. I know just how this poor momma feels, and sadly, I also know there will never be a day when she will truly be able to say she has finally gotten closure or has been able to move on. Truth is, you never move on from something like this, even after the suspect is caught and is in prison. Nothing will bring your loved one back or heal the pain you live with for the rest of your life. I pray they find that monster and her son gets the justice he deserves. I pray he also gives his loved ones the courage and strength to keep going.

Police will have the video within hours. Sometimes it does take a days though. However, those cameras are often not recording, or will be too grainy and poor to be able to see much. Small town though. People do talk. Whomever they are, they will be caught. It won’t help her or her family though. Nothing can ease this level of pain.
