It makes me so happy to see an Asian CZcamsr sharing their Chinese heritage! As much as I adore Korean/Japanese culture, Chinese culture doesn't get as much love on CZcams or in the media in general. Thanks for being a positive influence in the space :)
P.S. I didn't get to say goodbye to my grandmother in Beijing because of covid, I hope you're cherishing every moment with your family.
Unfortunately the current political environment makes Chinese the new boogeyman.
China is oldest culture before even Korea and Japan established
Comparing Chinese culture, Korean/Japanese culture are so-called cultural. Don’t present yourself unknoweledgable
Thank you Wesley ❤ definitely trying to share more of my Chinese & Vietnamese culture on my channel and I’m so glad that the message got through! So sorry to hear about your grandma and hope that you get to reconnect with family in Beijing soon 🫶
Sadly there are reasons for this, but will get political.
With CZcams banned in China, it's great to see content that shows typical life in China. Props to the triple threat of speaking in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Same 3 languages as me, although my Mandarin is pretty bad still.
Omg youtube is banned in china?! Why😢
@@hiilol Google left China in 2010 after it was unwilling to comply with one of China's internet security laws. CZcams went along with it since it's owned by Google. It's still easily accessible through VPNs however which are widely used by Chinese Internet users.
@@hiilolNot just china, there was a point in time where every phones, tablets etc from companies in china didnt have access to google services ie huawei
@@jasonooi4246 wow😯
This is the first time I've seen an Abc influencer come back to China and make a video, so welcome, and have fun!
Yes definitely trying to show more of my culture on my platform! Thank you for watching ❤
as an ABC who grew up in China and now lives in NY, I haven't been able to go back to China and see my nuclear family as often since covid, so this vlog means so much to me 🥹 thank you sm for sharing!!!!
Wait that’s literally me except i was born in china
It’s so heartwarming to see that so many people relate to this video 🥹 hope you get to reconnect with your fam soon ❤
😅

Please share more vlogs from your trip if you can! This was such a wholesome, interesting and informative vlog to watch! I've never watched a vlog like this made in China before and TBH it changed my perspective / gave me some idea just how modern and relatable everything is.
You talking with your grandparents made me cry so much 🥹 My grandfather recently passed away and I hadn't had the opportunity to see him since the covid lockdowns so thank you for sharing this sacred moment with us and allowing me to live vicariously through this 💗
The pandemic really took such a big toll on family connections 😞 I’m very lucky to have this opportunity because I also worried that they wouldn’t be here post restrictions being lifted. I’m sorry for your loss - sending you a big virtual hug and lots of love ❤
I loved how it went from "i think this has alcohol" to giving it her all in karaoke. Love your videos and how proudly you show your Chinese heritage, is super interesting.
Love from Puerto Rico
Wow, China is so modern and clean, the food look so delicious. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful, I love China! My husband comes from China, he's from Fushun. I hope to go one day to meet my family in law and showing our daughter, I look forward to it! Thank you for showing!

@@juliafei Good time to learn Chinese first haha

Yayy thank you for watching 😊
this is such a sweet vlog! I love watching travel vlogs but especially ones driven with purpose and connection :) ❤
sidenote: I’ve noticed you have such an airy/breathy way of speaking and I’m curious if its because of the Chinese influencing the way you learned English? its so interesting!
Thank you for the code! I've been looking into those earplugs.... Good timing! 😊

Sending love back ❤❤❤
It’s a sight and a smell I know🎉
I don't see too many vlogs about daily life in China, so this was super cool! are most people speaking cantonese or mandarin in guangzhou?
Mandarin is universal.
Each region also has its own dialect. There is a saying in China called "Ten miles of different sounds, a hundred miles of different languages"
There are tens of thousands of languages in China. Cantonese is just one of them.
China from ancient times to the present. All have different official languages. But the local language has not changed.
